Zapatos Rotos... Poema/ Broken Shoes...Poem (ESP/ENG)
English Version
“The experience and mistakes are great teachers of our shadows…”
Greetings, friends. Writing about the stumbles we encounter along our journey through life was a great challenge. That is why I share with you this short poem of free verses, "Broken Shoes...". Its content is a simple but deep text that invites us to reflect on the importance of personal exploration. It reminds us that the experiences we have lived, both positive and negative, are part of the path that transforms us into who we are. Below is the text for your consideration and comments.
Broken Shoes…
Today I woke up thinking
That after a certain age
There is nothing more important
Than searching for the path.
That journey
Where emotions converge,
Focusing on that place,
To such an extent
That it manages to dissipate
Any sign of pain and heaviness
Encountered along the long walk.
A marathon of acquired feelings,
Filling the heart with hope,
Without rest,
Restrictions
And bad intentions.
Only with the rigor
Of being at that point,
Embracing oneself,
Without caring how broken
The shoes might be
On that gigantic
Walk through life.
That's why today there is nothing more important
Than sitting with a notebook in hand,
Making sure that the color of the skin doesn't matter,
But to write how exciting the journey is,
Loaded with plenty of sunshine and storms,
Faithfully photographed in the footprints of these shoes,
The product of my battles and victories.
