Discovering Tranquility: A Visit to Lake Tavon
Hello dear friends,
Welcome back to my post! Today, I’ll continue the story I started yesterday about the Sanctuary of San Romedio. When I spent a few days vacationing in this place, I was in a region of Trentino-Alto Adige that I adore not just for its natural beauty but also for the tranquility it offers.
Driven by curiosity, I also wanted to visit Lake Tavon because a friend of mine had camped nearby a few years ago and told me it was really beautiful. So, driven by my immense curiosity, I decided to check out this spot, located in Val di Non and quite close to the Sanctuary of San Romedio. If you’re in the area, you might consider visiting both places.
My impression upon arriving at this location was that it is ideal for those seeking relaxation and a direct connection with nature. Unfortunately, like many places in Trentino now, it is becoming quite touristy, so you can imagine the negative effects of mass tourism.
This lake is near Lake Coredo and, as you can see, it is surrounded by woods. From what I gathered, it’s not suitable for swimming, but people come here mainly for picnicking by the lake or, as shown in the photos I shared, for fishing.
Naturally, I took the opportunity to enjoy a lovely walk around the lake, made possible by a beautiful pedestrian and cycling path that circles the entire area. Along the route, there are occasional spots to rest, including benches and tables, and some play equipment for children to enjoy.
I also discovered a small artistic trail with some beautiful art pieces. As someone passionate about art, I really enjoy combining nature with artistic experiences.
I should also mention an important detail I forgot: this lake was artificially created to provide water for nearby farms and has become a recreational spot mainly for spending time in nature and relaxing.
I hope you enjoyed the photos I shared. Stay tuned for the continuation of this adventure—follow me for the next post. See you soon!

I thoroughly enjoyed the photos you shared. Nature has been a comfort zone for me. I’ve always wanted my kids to learn to do a little fishing. 🎣 But it’s great to see all this and enjoy. ☺️
