Before building the Ark……..and after!😳
“ Liz, I don’t think I am hiking down to the river on this trail today! “🙄
If you saw my post from yesterday, the first two photos were taken at the same location, only today………😮
Overnight the rain pounded on our glass skylight……. over 3 1/2 inches!😅
I woke early this morning to check “NORA” the official weather service.
The river level had climbed ABOVE the Flood Stage of 83.5 feet!
The worst case scenario, is that the levee gets pounded by the raging flood waters, and breaks!
That’s what happened two years ago, when the valley towns of Everson and Sumas were completely flooded!
I was concerned that if Silvertop and the Mrs headed downhill to Church this morning, we might not make it home!😬
Dan a local police officer, and one of our neighbors, turned around and headed home this morning because of the potential flooding in the valley!😮
We decided to “YouTube” our Church service from home……….
Later in the afternoon after a nice Mountain hike, I asked Liz if she was curious about the flooding.
We decided to drive down to the Everson River Park. Remember just across the street from this park is where our new Church building is planned……
It would take a massive flood to reach the new Church location!
The flood water was now up into the parking lot of the “ River Park “!😅
“ The water is high Liz, but I guess we could have driven to Church “ 🙄
Silvertop was just being extra careful ……😇
“ Latte’s back at home honey, I think it’s starting to rain again Lol! “🥰
