Day two of Silvertopβs Winter wonderland!π
You learn a lot living many years in βSnow Countryβ!π
Our two family Dalmatians would leave βPresentsβ encased in layers of the deep snowpack.
As it gradually melted, you would start to find these new surprises!π³π€£

Todayβs plan for Silvertop, was early this morning walk down our road,and see if the snow plow truck had been byβ¦β¦β¦β¦
Nopeβ¦β¦β¦..π
Thatβs the bottom of our road in the first photo, and it keeps climbing uphill!
You canβt get a running start, because you need to make a sharp right turn off of the mountain pass below!π
For a second day, Liz opted to stay home from workβ¦β¦β¦..

So began Silvertopβs βSnow shovelingβ steps for today!
I needed to clear the snow from our long driveway.
Lizβs car has amazing four-wheel-drive, and the studded very deep lug tires can power through almost anythingβ¦β¦β¦.
Just not this deepβ¦β¦.
It would β High center β her car!π€
Several hours at a time I would shovel and take a break β¦β¦..
This went on all day β¦β¦β¦..π
Later in the day our son textedβ¦β¦β¦.
They are running a generator there electricity is out!π
Bill lives over one hundred miles away, he is one of several snow plow truck drivers for his city down south.

When you're a snow plow driver everyone becomes your best friend when winter arrives, how long is the driveway anyway?
So very true about snowplow drivers being your best friend
I havenβt ever measured the driveway, Liz estimates over 200 feet up to where she parks her car. About 100 feet up at splits into another driveway that goes to our garageβ¦β¦.. probably another hundred feet that way to shovel Lol!π
I can tell you it felt like miles Lol!π
I must be out of shape. My arms are sore after 100 feet of sidewalk.
I think I know of a place where you can βPracticeβ snow shoveling Lol!ππ€£π
