A stiff cold winter wind was blowing as Silvertop reached the off grid cabin………
As the temperature goes up, so does the humidity………..
Because of that, today’s hike felt much colder!🥶
I stopped up top, and pulled an extra sweatshirt out of my backpack.
I reluctantly took off my windproof raincoat, to add this extra layer underneath.
Now I’m really cold Lol!😬
It took a few minutes after adding this layer, to regain the heat back!😬
Liz stayed back home and kept the wood stove going.
She is much better, but didn’t want to expose herself and relapse with this bug that is going around !🥰
Looks like Silvertop wasn’t the only one in the family enjoying a Sunny Winter day!
Our “Grand dog“ Phoenix, decided to take our son Bill and his Wife Agi ice fishing!🥰
Notice in the third photo that Phoenix is sitting close to the heater!😇
Phoenix was texting “Grampa Silvertop” that it went down to -12°F out on the ice!😳🥶
“ Liz I don’t like fish anyway, and at that temperature, I would just go to the local supermarket Lol!”☺️
Apparently Phoenix needed to inspect every fish Bill caught, by licking it!😳
Hmmm……..Lol!🤣
Longer days or not, this was the end of the trail for today, it was time to head home and warm up!☺️
I believe we are in a gradual warming trend.
Where this leads, no one can forecast…….
More snow, atmospheric river of rain, or a plunge down to zero temperatures!🙄
For today, we chalked up one more Sunny Winter day in the Pacific Northwest !

Liz loves Salmon, but it became so common in the Pacific Northwest, that everyone was cooking Salmon!🙄

Too cold to be ice fishing... I've never been a big fan of freshwater fish anyway. Ocean fish always taste better to me and since I'm no longer in the Caribbean in comes from the supermarket!
