Got Salt?🤣
“ Dad everyone has gone salt crazy down here! “🙄
Silvertop’s youngest son is a snow plow driver, for issaquah, a city close to Seattle. They had two inches of snow. That’s when the word came for higher up’s, to salt and spray the roads heavily!🙄
Bill has a “Built up” Nissan Xterra, for camping and four wheeling………
“ I’m not bringing my rig out till Spring, the mixture we are spraying will burn your hands!” 😬
He went on to tell Dad, that this is a mixture of calcium chloride and salt!
Years ago Silvertop built a large addition to one of our first homes. The full walkout finished basement I laid with concrete block……. During the Winter!
I had a small bag of powdered calcium chloride, and I just sprinkled a little in my mortar. It was amazing the heat that it put off, and how quickly it would set up from this additive!😮
This is what they are spraying!😬
Today Silvertop and Liz escaped to town, and every road was covered with this chemical mixture!🙄
As I type this post we are sitting at 15° above zero!😎
Not exactly hiking weather, shopping steps sounded better!😊
Mt Baker ski area temporarily shut down for the first time because of extreme cold!
They were having subzero temperatures and windchill factors of -32°F 🥶
They said they were having equipment failure from the extreme cold!
I don’t think I would want to ride a chair lift, knowing that the diesel powered motor might stop because of the cold!
We stopped at Home Depot, and they had a pickup with a salting unit on the back!🤔
Everyone was going salt crazy here as well!

We haven’t had any snow up here, just bitter cold!🤔

I glanced up to see a bald eagle flying right in front of our car, take a look at the third, the last photo!🤗
“ Very good spotting honey, I guess I had my mind on that “Free” Starbucks Latte Lol!”🤣
Liz has been saving up drink points!🥰
“ Honey are these points a security, or a commodity Lol!”😇
Everyone have a wonderful Saturday, till tomorrow HODL those Starbucks points Lol!
