Someone once told me that they don’t make a windshield wiper speed for the rain in Pacific Northwest Lol!
That was today……………..😅
The Mrs started roasting four pounds of Coffee……we were completely out!
“ Completely out Liz?”😳
Silvertop was splitting and carrying in firewood for the evening.😊
The misty rain was falling…………………
Not exactly the best of weather to hike to “Soaring Eagle”!😮
“ Liz, I don’t think any Eagles are soaring today!”🙄
Inside “the boys” we’re being entertained by “Dusty” our robotic vacuum cleaner!
Cyle still stays a “safe” distance. Cot has slowly started to accept this clicking and whirring moving monster, that has invaded HIS home!😺
In between starting to fall asleep, he snaps to attention, ready to attack this creature to protect Mom and Dad!😻
Liz finished the Coffee roasting, and Silvertop talked her into a hike up to our trailhead, near the large pond!🥰
We stopped at Grants cabin, where Liz found some Roses still blooming in January!
Now that’s amazing, and given that we might be heading down to temperatures in the single digits, this might be the last of the Rose blooms till Spring!
Check out @elizabethbit she also just opened up her “secret Santa” gift, it has been a very busy week for my Lady!❤️
With the weekend here, we are both catching up Lol!😇
I think the Mrs was hiking faster than usual because of the rainy weather……😅
We have noticed this phenomenon when we hike Boulevard Park down by the Ocean………….
Many hikers on flat ground are trying to get a better workout by walking fast!😅
Hiking up in the mountains, with steep elevation changes, you want a steady pace. You are hiking miles on rough terrain, and you want to be able to return tomorrow for another hike!😊
“ Liz are you in a hurry Lol!”🥰
I hiked ahead to the pond, and the Mrs stopped to snap a few photos.
That’s when I got her “Text”…………
“ I’m on my way back honey!”🥰
She was more than ready to head home!
As we started back, the rain was coming down much harder.😅
It was so nice to make it back home.
I tossed another log on the fire, and watched the “boy’s” monitor the movement of the creature moving throughout the house!
“Dad, don’t worry, while you and Mom were OUTSIDE, we kept a close eye on Dusty!”😻
“ Thanks Cot, I knew I could count on you!”☺️
