For quite some time now, the topic of the climate has given us a lot to talk about and over the years, in my opinion, it has become very unstable. At least here in Venezuela, the seasons are not true, we barely have 2 of them (winter and summer) and there is no fixed time or date for these, I don't know about other parts of the country but in the area where I live we had months when we didn't know what rain was, we lived through a strong summer for several months that brought with it a very extreme heat wave that I don't even know how we survived it because the temperature has really risen to incredible levels, luckily, a few days ago it started to rain and the heat has decreased a little, but just a little because the sun barely rises and we go back to the same thing.

Once I went to give my Biodanza session as every week, I arrived very happy, we greeted each other, we started the conversation and we did the dance. At the end of the session, when I was saying goodbye, one of the participants asked me if it was appropriate to wear a garment backwards because of energetic issues. I smiled and told her that in this system that has nothing to do with it. That day I had to do several errands and at the end of the afternoon I had an invitation to a sharing, arriving at the place, I am approaching the mirror door and I realized that I was wearing my shirt backwards... Queee! it gave me a fit of laughter and I could not stop.

Hot is little, the temperature in Cuba is on fire!
"Hot", yes, in quotation marks because the hot sun and high temperatures that Cubans live in the island these days are too hot for summer, it seems like an August 14 plus.
The recent rains cooled the Cuban capital, in Havana the thermometers were painted red once again, quickly, between 33 and 39 degrees.
Caps, sunglasses and even gloves to protect the skin of the arms are common to see in the streets of the city, while the famous water pomito returned to backpacks and bags, as well as wet wipes and the fan.
I give myself several baths of fresh water a day, use fans (clean of dust), at night I place a bowl of water with ice in front of it and the cool feeling is felt.
I take my measures to counteract this intense heat, I use sunglasses, umbrellas, I avoid going out at times of excessive heat such as from 12 am to 4 pm.
I wear soft, cool clothes, I stay hydrated as I drink plenty of water, I sweat a lot, I sweat a lot.
I take several cool water baths a day, use fans (clean of dust), at night I place a container with water and ice in front of it and the cool sensation is felt.
I clean the room before sleeping with cold water, clean and cold bed linen (I put it for 20 or 30 minutes in a naylon in the freezer) and it helps me to sleep peacefully.
Well, my friends, these are some of my daily routine things, to counteract this heat.

One day in the morning, I was on my way to my office in Vedado as usual. Normally I have to walk about a kilometer from where the transportation drops me off to my work and on that way, I have to pass near studios where they record TV and radio programs. That day, they were doing interviews in the street for a program called Route 10 related to the French language.
The reporter very kindly asked me to answer a few questions and I agreed, nervously, but I did. I was ready to give my best answers... nothing could be further from the truth...
First she asks me if I like the language and then if I know where there are academies to learn it. So far so good. As I said at the beginning, I would like to learn it and I am aware of where there are classes. But it doesn't end there.
When they ask me what I know how to say in French, instead of saying "no, I don't know anything" (to avoid embarrassment) what do you think I said? Well, the only thing in French I remembered at that moment was the famous song by Cristina Aguilera "Lady Marmalade " and in front of a public TV camera I said "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir? " in perfect French from my neighborhood and approved by me. In addition to mispronounced, disrespectful. Saying, "Will you sleep with me tonight?" was definitely not in my plans on any given work morning.

There was this day (7 years ago) my hubby took me out (sorry to say my hubby, I can't really remember what we were then😂 but it's either we were friends or dating) okay, like I said, he took me out to one of the best eatery, where I ordered rice, chicken and salad, he also ordered same which was served
But to my surprised, they brought a knife and fork (cutlery) 🍴 for me to use, I looked at my tray and then looked back at me hubby how he was already using his cutlery to eat. The look on my face made him to ask me if everything was okay, I told him "no" then the village girl in could not keep calm, I asked him "don't they used spoon to eat here"? My hubby immediately read what was running through my mind so he didn't even both answering me instead, he told me "baby, just pretend and let's leave here"
Is like this guy doesn't know me oo...me pretend that I am using knife and fork to eat when I see this full chicken looking at me. Hehe! God knows the village girl in me can't pretend at such things, I immediately called the guy that served us to bring spoon and water to wash my hands 😄 my hubby gave me a bombastic side eye but hey! At the moment, I was more concerned about how I can enjoy my chicken.
