There are countless things for which one can feel grateful. I compiled a list of my greatest blessings. The idea is to provide you with the motivation to discover them on your own.
I am thankful for...
- my family, although they are all in heaven
- my close friends, good neighbors, and my friends in the blockchain
- my church and freedom of religion
- the chance to give back
- my health condition, despite it not being perfect
- my home
- my job
- my academic training that landed me my forever job
- my financial savings
- my reliable vehicle that brings me to point A to point B
- technology
- the convenience of utilities
- clean water and air
- a restful night of sleep
- general peace in the country
- my Yorkies, and even when they have all gone they had kept me company for 15 years
Below are vintage Thanksgiving Silver Bars taken from Ebay of various products being sold by sellers. None of the below belongs to me.
This is the story of Thanksgiving in America:
The first Thanksgiving took place in 1621, when the Pilgrim settlers of Plymouth, Massachusetts, invited the Wampanoag to a harvest feast. The meal invite was to thank them for their help in planting crops, and a warm friendship budded between the two people groups1 2. However, the story most people heard about Thanksgiving from a young age is not the full story. It is a simple version of the story where a group of Pilgrims, fleeing religious persecution, sail to North American and settle on Plymouth Rock. After a hard winter, they celebrate a successful harvest with their new neighbors, Native Americans2.
