What is Multiversus?
Imagine Super Smash Bros but instead of popular video game characters -- it's world famous ones from Warner Brothers properties. We're talking Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry, Shaggy from Scooby Doo, Batman and Superman from DC Comics, Finn and Jake from Cartoon Network's Adventure Time, and Arya Stark from HBO's Game of Thrones -- just to name a few of the large cast of characters there are to choose from.

I recently downloaded the game and was able to start on the tutorial with the character of Shaggy from the famous Scooby Doo mysteries series.

This game reminds me a lot of Super Smash Bros and the fact that it features so many wildly popular characters and is free to play is pretty awesome -- although you do have to set up a Warner Bros game account, which was easy. I just used one of my extra Proton Mail accounts and it took less than 10 minutes to do so.
There's too in-game currencies: gold and gleamium.
Looks like playing matches online earns you gold which can be used to improve or unlock stuff like characters, while gleamium is something that requires real currency (like EURO, USD) to buy but I just did the tutorial instead and played enough online matches to unlock a few extra abilities for Wonder Woman.
I downloaded this game on the hype of seeing so many nostalgic characters from my childhood, but never played it enough. I remember opening the menu and after that I decided not to play it XD I have to give it a second chance (and now I have new hard drive so I have space to download it).
Yeah it's awesome that it's free and has a lot going for it with all the popular characters from people's childhoods or recent pop-culture. I can already see them adding other iconic figures -- Samurai Jack, Jon Snow, Dexter from Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Martian Manhunter, The Flash, Hawk Girl, Elmer Fudd, Wiley Coyote, Birdman, etc.
I agree that the opening menu and just the interface in general could use a lot more streamlining. Right now it's a little chaotic and off-putting. Luckily they have a pretty amount number of characters and will only earn more fans for the game by increasing that roster with more childhood and recent favorites.
Making space for games on your hard drive is tough. Deleting stuff sometimes makes me feel like I'm erasing memories but there's only so much room in our machines and it's best to be open for future stuff haha
I have been quite attracted to this title, I think one of its main attractions are the different Cartoon characters you can use and without a doubt I would like to try it to play with shaggy although for now my PC I doubt it will support it Lol.
Yeah seeing all the familiar characters is a huge attraction to me, plus Warner Bros is probably just going to expand the roster even more since they have so much material and characters to pull from. I'm currently leveling up Wonderwoman, Morty, and Arya Stark which isn't too much of a grind which is nice because I want to spend time playing all the different characters. Shaggy is a surprisingly good character, I wonder if any of the Shaggy meme ever makes it into the game -- that would be funny. I think it's 6 GB which isn't too bad but I'm playing on PS4 after clearing out a lot of storage. If they ever do an anime version of this -- Multiversus would have major competition haha. Imagine Saitama finally getting to fight Goku in an arena-fighter game. That could be epic!

Wow, scooby doo character and dc character at the same game? It looks awesome.
Right? I can't wait for them to add more to the roster! I want to see Samurai Jack, Dexter's Lab, a lot of 90's and early 2000's characters would be great.
There are not Asian server, the one thing that keeps me away from this game. Other then that, the issue of grinding characters from the beginning , a huge turn-off.
