Home made Spices

Hello friends! Today I prepared my home made masala powder for cooking. I am actually grinding from fresh whole spices to the mixie to make it a powder. Freshly grind masalas enhances taste and flavour of curries.

Needless to say that there are various benefits of using spices. As much as possible I don't use preservatives and unnatural flavour enhancers in my cooking.

My favourite and staple spices are chili powder, coriander powder & turmeric powder, and whole spices of cumin and fennel seeds. I love there aroma specially when it's a fresh coarsely grind.

Not only they are used in cooking, but also making tea out of spices, a very helpful in treating common colds and flu, gastric discomfort, stress reliever and calming nerves as well.

My favourite spices when it comes to tea are safron, cumin & fennel the aroma of those spices are divine ( As for me ).

Making homemade masala powder, coriander, turmeric, cumin & fennel powder are easy and simple. You just have to prepare exact quantity of spices you need, have them roast in a low heat pan, transfer, powederize it to mixie and keep it in an airtight container and that's it.
