My Trip to Manikganj: Betila Landlord's House.

Greetings and welcome to all. Hope everyone is healthy and well. So I am going to talk about the next story of my trip to Manikganj. I have shared with you some of the fun moments of my first day of this trip.

Today I am here to share with you how I spent my time and where I went for the next day.

The next morning we all woke up and had breakfast. After that we all planned to visit a Landlord's House. Our aunt said that there are many historical places around Manikganj but it is not possible to visit all places in one day. So she told us that there are some landlord's houses not very far from their house and we can visit them in one day. So we all quickly got ready to go there and left aunt's house early in the morning.

After leaving the house, I realized that it was a very sunny day. Anyway on the way we stopped at a place. We passed by this place on our way. It was a government college. I told about this place in my previous post. We all stayed near this college and waited for a CNG.

While we all waited for the CNG, I entered in this college campus. Going there I took a picture of this college gate to share with you. This college was built on a very large scale and the university was on the back side of this college. I couldn't stay there for long as by then our CNG was fixed. Everyone was waiting for me then I quickly got into the CNG.

After about 30-40 minutes, we reached our destination. First we went to Betila Landlord's House. This is surrounded by greenery. A narrow road passes by the side of this house and a canal runs by the side of the road. This house is built on a huge scale.

I don't know about the history of this house though. I didn't know much about this house from net or books. And when I reached there, I found some people living there. It was very difficult to talk to them as they were very busy. However we were not allowed to enter the house so we looked around the house from outside.

There was a big pond on the back side of this house and there was a lot of forest. There were some flowering trees and fruit trees also planted and the flowers were quite beautiful to look at.

I was upset that I was not allowed to go inside the house because I really wanted to know what the inside of this historic house looks like. Anyway we finished seeing this place and then left to see another landmark.

Then we went to this place to see another landlord's house which is probably called Satya Babu's House. I went there and saw many big buildings and the houses were very old but still looked very beautiful.

Notice in this picture that all the doors there were made of wood and the house was also made of crafts. A few people are living in this house now so it is not possible to enter inside this house.

It was another ancient house. The condition of this house was not very good so we could not stay in this place for a long time and its called Gyan Kutir which should be Knowledge cottage in English and its established in 1334.

We all enjoyed seeing the ancient places there. After seeing the historical houses there, we visited the sides of the houses. While walking there I saw this tree. The tree seems to have been holding fruit or flowers. I didn't know the name of this tree but I liked it so I took a picture of it.

The manor houses had lots of space and there were many kinds of trees. I saw them and took some pictures. At one point I noticed that it was almost evening there. So we all left from there to go home.

While going there I saw a big pond. The pond was very nice to see and the evening moon was also visible there. Many trees were also seen around the pond. There was a big ladder on the side to go down to this pond. There was a lot of wind and I enjoyed these moments. Honestly I enjoyed this place the most. As evening came the place looked so dark.

We took this road to go home. As it was evening we were all very scared as the place was deserted. Also we lost the road on the way although later we found it. On the way back, we were heading home with a terrible feeling. Anyway we had a great time all in all. After coming home we were very tired but the happy times of the day were very memorable.

This is all in this episode. I will show you where I went after that some other day. May everyone be healthy and well in the coming days.
