My Trip to Chittagong | Khoiyachara Waterfalls.
Hello All,
How are you doing today?
Welcome everyone to see my new post. Today I will share my tour blog with you and its about my trip to Chittagong and today, I'll talk about Khoiyachara Waterfalls. Hope you'll like it.
Last time I talked about buying a ticket to Khoiyachara Waterfalls which was our first visiting spot in Sitakunda, Chittagong. Let's talk about our thrilling adventure to Khoiyachara Waterfalls.
Our intention was to witness the waterfalls in Khoiyachara. But because the waterfalls were located inside the mountain, it's not possible to reach the waterfalls directly using any vehicle. So we just started walking without knowing what's waiting for us ahead. I thought it would be easy to get there but later I understood that I was totally wrong. You can see in the picture above, between two roads, the road with water is the one to go through. But we took the upper road. And after going we realized it was wrong to hope with this road. So we again took another route forward.
We were all together to visit the Khoiyachara waterfall because we had to go through some jungle to get there so we were all aware and together. On the way I saw these beautiful flowers. The flowers looked very beautiful and attracted me so I stopped there to take these pictures and I don't know the name of these flowers.
After some distance, I saw some signboards on the side of the road. These signboards were written with a variety of cautionary words, ways to save the environment, and a beautiful message was written that ''Teach children to respect nature and environment''.
Here we all were going along this muddy road and saw some big stones here. Although after some distance we saw bigger rocks. Let's say here that if you want to see this Waterfalls, you will have to have courage and endurance to cross the inaccessible path. And after going there I was a bit scared to see the roads but I was ready to go there. Now let's see how we went for this terrible beautiful trip.
You should understand how terrible the roads leading there were seeing the above pictures and trust me, there were worst routes that I couldn't take pictures of as I had to maintain the weight of body at those parts.
I have never crossed such terrible road before and this was the first time. I crossed the roads there with difficulty. A little further we were going through an even more terrible road. The ground there was very slippery and there were many holes. I was going there holding my husband's hand. I was very scared. I felt like I was going to slip and fall, but I never fell. My husband encouraged and helped me to go there. And I heard later that these roads have a lot of water during monsoons due to which the condition of these roads has become so bad. Also during rains most of the time the road leading to the waterfalls is very slippery and impassable.
Then especially we had to climb the steep hill at the very top and this time I was more scared though while climbing the hill, I grabbed a rope and I managed to climb that hill. After passing this road we had to pay visit to a more difficult route. We were all very careful in tracking because there were many kinds of insects and the strong tree branches were worn on the muddy roads. But unfortunately I also got foot pain after some distance. Hence, good quality shoes are needed on such rugged roads. But I had no shoes on my feet for which I had to suffer.
On the way to the waterfalls, we saw many rocks and the place of these rocks was very slippery. We had to go over the rocks. Here, we walked very slowly and carefully because in case of any serious accident it will be very difficult to come back through that inaccessible road. Looking at these rocks, it seemed that we were very close to the waterfalls. We were quite tired after crossing this road.
There were many more travelers besides us and we chatted with them. We all encouraged and helped everyone to move. I saw sticks in the hands of many travelers and with the support of sticks they could easily climb mountains or high places and I had one as well. If there is a stick in your hand, there is less chance of falling as it gives good support. The water there was very cold and my feet were already in bad condition. Even in this situation I did not despair, I started again towards the waterfalls.
After going through the impossible routes, we reached our destination. This is the first waterfall among 9-10 more, I guess and its the only one we visited. It took about one and a half hour to walk to reach this waterfall. After reaching there we all enjoyed a lot and we were very happy. We were very happy to see this beautiful waterfall and forgot all our fatigue and hardships. We all took some nice pictures there and had a good time. There were many other tourists and they were soaking in the water of the waterfall. I like the charming environment and the beauty of nature.
After that, it was getting dark as the afternoon wore on, so we all had to leave. Moreover, there was not much facility of electricity and network. So if you want to go there, you should go in the morning because if you go in the morning, you can expect to leave before the evening.
We went early in the morning and it was late afternoon when we came back. Although there will not be much difficulty if you are late because there will be many tourists and there will be no fear of losing the way. And besides, you can take a guide with you if needed. Since there were many of us, we did not need a guide.
I would like to say that every step of the waterfalls had a different beauty. On my way, I felt adventurous to pass through winding paths, bamboo groves, farm lanes and inaccessible roads but I was too tired to enjoy them.
After coming from there we were all very hungry. It was almost afternoon so we had to have lunch in the afternoon. In the beginning I said we had already ordered the food. There were many types of food but I just had rice with chicken curry and I found this curry very tasty. Anyway after eating, we boarded CNG to go to another place.
Our plan was to visit the Mahamaya Lake after seeing the Khoiyachara waterfall but our plan didn't work out because our time management for the day sucked. Although we went to Mahamaya Lake by CNG from there and it was almost night. Still we bought tickets to enter there and went inside but it was dark all around as it was late night so we came out and left. Then we boarded the CNG again and reached our hotel. And after some way from the hotel there was a railway line. The train was passing through there and we were standing near the railway line. After some time we went back to the hotel and had dinner at the hotel restaurant. After dinner we went to our hotel room and we all talked a lot and had a great time. However, my legs hurt a lot while sleeping at night and I had to take pain medicine because the next day we had to travel again to another place.
For the first time in my life, I saw a waterfall in Sitakunda, Chittagong. My trip was an adventure. I liked this place a lot and we all had a lot of fun. These beautiful times of ours will be memorable. As I was writing this post I was reminiscing about that trip. Like this time, we have finished watching Khoiyachara Waterfalls.
That's it for today. Hope you like it. I'll talk about Chandra Nath hill next time. Thanks for being with me.
