Badges, HiveBuzz Proposal (More Badges), Create Your Fairy and the Dreemport Challenge

Ever go to do something and something grabs your attention? You think, I’ll just take a moment to fix that and that leads to something else which leads to something else and well you know, right?

This morning I was going through some posts before I started writing and came across someone who has been showing up in my GINABOT notices writing on a topic that I really am not a fan of. At first I couldn’t see why the person was showing up and then it dawned on me. The person was tagging communities even though he hadn’t posted in said communities. One of them was mine.

Yes, I created some communities and badges when they first came out on Steem. I’ve not been paying them any attention over here on Hive. One of the badges was for those who participated in PYPT before I took a break in 2020. One of the communities was called The Ramble, the discord where PYPT was originally held.

PYPT Badge & Community Revived

I spent a bit of time this morning and updated the PYPT badge to the emoji we use during PYPT. Anyone who participates during the show can display the badge. I went through the existing list and removed the ones who haven’t returned yet.

@zekepickleman, @solominer, @definethedollar, @rycharde, @mrnightmare98 I had to remove you. I was sad to do that but I’d love to return it to you. I added people who have been attending but, I may have missed one or two, so let me know if I have.

The Ramble Community is now the Pimp Your Post Thurs Community. The title can only have 20 characters so I had to use the abbreviation for Thursday. Anyone with the PYPT badge is welcome to add their posts and I’ll also be cross-posting PYPT related posts to the community so you’ll be able to get updated easier.

Hivebuzz Proposal Renewal

I came across a post from the team at Hivebuzz looking for support to renew their proposal for 2022. The proposal helps the team cover the expenses of running the project. If you’ve been active on Hive you have seen notifications for badges you’ve earned from the project.

It takes time and resources to run something like this. It contributes to the enjoyment and sense of belonging people have on Hive. I’m still after getting that month posting badge. I’ll have to start on January 1st to get the next one. … But I digress.

In case you’ve not caught on, I consider supporting this proposal a no brainer and encourage you to go upvote it. That’s all.. A simple upvote to help them keep the project going.

Create Your Fairy -- #snookschallenge1

If you don’t know @snook yet, you likely should. Most famous for the tag #snookmademedoit given to her by @jackmiller because of her tendency to get people to do things. Really, she can’t get me to do something I don’t want to do … well maybe.

She has a different tag right now though. It’s #snookschallenge1 for which she’s challenging you to Create Your Fairy. If you’ve not taken part, you better get it done. There’s just a few days left.

Dreemport Dreem Destinations Challenge

Thursday is tomorrow. In addition to being the day for PYPT, it’s also the day you need to get the Dreemport Challenge posts in. For this week, you’re not travelling, you have @dreemsteem travelling within the guidelines she’s giving you.

You have just over a day to get the post written and entered at Dreemport. Less if you want to share it at PYPT at Noon EST.
