Leo is not a deflationary currency so I don’t believe there is a cap. There is a limit to how much is printed every day though I’m not sure what it is. Hopefully someone can drop a link to the paper describing the tokenomics of Leo. If not I’ll look for it after work

This is also a very advanced question I do not have the answer to but the easiest way to figure it out would be to power up 10 hive and see how much your RC grows.

i think I powered up 16 Dollars worth of hives when it was at 0.19.

Its really not enough to thread as I wanted, especially doing a Threadcast. So I normally exhaust it and come back after two days to continue.

@inuke engage! Engage! ENGAGE! I get a lot of attention because I used to give a ton of attention but also because I ran initiatives (like this or like dead post initiative or cross culture back in the day)

I wish I could be a bit more reciprocal but between work and music and videos and writing and stuff like this, I don’t always check out al the things I want to. I will check out yours though because you are awesome and one of my favorite people here!!!

good question for all to answer. I came to share my fiction and found it rather difficult to gain traction but I had always wanted an audience for sharing essays and random ideas too and I found that audience and pay very quickly here. Although neither has been consistent, both are beyond anything I found anywhere else and the awesome people and ability to test ideas on people while earning money keeps me active here

RC slow you to perform more transactions on chain. They create an incentive for people to hold some of the Hive token because powering up Hive will give you more RC to use, although the amount needed to post and comment and upvote is quite small and if you don’t have enough you can ask me. I will delegate to you til you earn enough.

the purpose of RC is more about incentivizing projects built on hive to buy RC than regular users. INLEO for example needs lots of Hive power to create so many accounts.

RC are a brilliant way to prevent spamming of the chain and create a token ecosystem that isn’t constantly bleeding out.

I agree, without the RC thing there'd be massive spamming going on by now. I remember when I first entered the platform I tried to do a lot and then it didn't work 🤣 I thought the platform was broken, then I learned RC

I think a lot of new users still don’t understand how special Hive is, and the truly decentralized chaotic nature of its community make it hard to appreciate to the level it deserves.

Hive allows us to remain even more decentralized because hive has no CEO or company behind it, and it’s provided INLEO with the resources to be able to build what it’s built. Because of that, it’s a bit chaotic and disorganized but that is a feature, not a bug. It’s up to people who are part of this new society to change how it looks and make it function better and Leo is smart and helping to build a better future by staying part of that.

There isn’t any reason to fork or to build a Leo stablecoin, that would be like killing your parents to steal their fortune when they have been supporting you all along.

Leo can become everything it wants to become while remaining on Hive and Hive can help Leo grow an alliance of likeminded projects over time by leading the Hive community forward.

Hive only needs to be populated with more pragmatic and attractive projects and something like Leo can help populate the chain with more people who can build those and create more of a self sustainable ecosystem, a society rather than just a platform.

I think of Hive as being more like the internet or bitcoin and Leo as being something more like Google or Facebook, but obviously way cooler.

You could theoretically fork Leo away from hive but it would be a stab in the back to the people who helped it grow but more importantly, it would cut Leo off from being part of a true decentralized DAO which cannot be replicated.

We could easily have more great projects built on hive and we will!

Yeah, I read a bit about it in an article here on INLEO, I guess from Leo Glossary and the name Justin Sun stuck in my head, haha.

One thing I love about Hive is the strength of the community, when communities are involved in a project, it becomes successful because of the oneness and supportiveness. God blessed all who planned the Hive project. Each day, Hive keeps growing.

Hive has only lacked skills at onboarding and project leaders with long term visions. I think this onboarding at Leo will help repopulate hive with more pragmatic people who have vision for their own project and can survive a bear market as well as a bull!

INLEO has nothing to do with X. It just uses X, Google as a simplified way for people to sign up because not everyone understands how keys work. Signing up with X means you have a light account. You can sign up with keystore or make a hive account for decentralized options.

TLDR answer: we are not built on X and have no association, it’s just a sign up method

The team has stated they want to focus on making something that works well on the web first. When you make a phone app it’s at the mercy of Google and Apple to stay in the App Store. Apple even charges 30% for all payments so crypto based apps sometimes have a hard time getting approved.

I’ve been pushing for a phone app for a while but I understand their concerns and they’ve said it is totally possible once they’ve built up the community and tech a bit more.

The priority is being free from potential chokeholds of app stores first.

If you want to earn DASH you’ve currently got to start a new account through keystore. If you wait a month or two they will likely add the ability to connect your key store wallet on existing accounts and you can always use leodex to exchange for dash.
