Three Tune Tuesday - Rock Proof

Hello, music lovers! 🎡

It's a Tuesday, so it's time for #threetunetuesday and a chance to share something I'm listening to. Today, we listen to rock, not any particular rock, but classical rock. From my teenage years, it has been pure rock without any electronic additions or anything like that.

These songs were hits in their time, and rock history was built on them. Many people still listen to them today, but they are not the most recognizable songs by these supergroups.
I'm sure older music fans know them, and I'd be delighted if younger ones read this and liked it.

🎡 🎧 🎡

For those of you who are not (yet) familiar with #threetunetuesday or #ttt - these are tags you need to set when you post.
It's a music initiative started by @ablaze, and with his words, the jist is as follows:

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs that I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the reward.

🎡 🎧 🎡

Deep Purple - Hush

The song was initially written for the American Billy Joel Royal, but Deep Purple picked it up a year later and featured on their 1968 debut album, The Shades Of Deep Purple. It is about longing and obsession with lost love.
The song became one of the most recognizable songs from the band's early era.

🎡 🎧 🎡

Cream - Strange Brew

The song is from the band's second album, 1967's Disraeli Gears. The lyrics are abstract and open to interpretation and refer to the search for the self and the associated psychedelic experiences.

🎡 🎧 🎡

Free - Wishing Well

Wishing Well is a single released in 1972 and later included in the last, sixth Heartbreaker album. The band then broke up. The song is dedicated to their friend, a person with an addiction who lived on the border between death and life.

🎡 🎧 🎡

And as a bonus, an Irish band.

Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak

Jailbreak is a song dedicated to youth, rebellion, and freedom, so it is easy to identify with it. It was released in 1976 from the album of the same name.

That's all for today, thank you for your attention.

This is my 59th post for #threetunetuesday, which @ablaze started. I hope what I'm sharing is enjoyable for others, too, because then it makes sense.

Even if you had chosen something else from these bands, it would have sounded great, too!

These groups are so good that it was hard to choose. Well, it's good for me to listen again.

I'm a big fan of Deep Purple and know almost everything from their catalogue until the 90s.

About Cream and Free I know only one song each.

3 great acts in rock history for sure... Oh wait, 4 with Thin Lizzy 😁 Jailbreak is a banger! I love Phil Lynott's style

I'm glad you like the selection. I deliberately didn't want to pick their greatest hits, but in the end, you realize they are such great musicians that it doesn't matter what you choose. It's all exceptional.

That classic rock that you are presenting here is one of the best of my time, I don't know if we are contemporary in terms of age, what I do know is that you have good musical taste.

Thank you. This is the music I listened to as a teenager and still do. I listen to a lot of new music but this classic rock is my reference for what I think is good in music.

Someone has silently and secretly tampered with the necklace of musical memories. Four of the most precious pearls have been taken out and given to me as a gift.
Thank you for that!

I'm saying that, and my profile says I share content I like. Sometimes, I manage to make other people happy.
As a Slovenian proverb says: "Sometimes even a blind hen finds a grain." 😎

Yeah, Thin Lizzy was a great band. It's a pity that Phyl Lynott died, and the band broke up.

Undoubtedly they are classics that will always remain in the musical history, and this time I'll stay with the themes of Cream and Deep Purple that by the way I've been listening to them for a long time, but now that I'll listen to them again it's as if it were the first time. Greetings and good recommendations.
