Sublime Sunday and a Mind Full of Thoughts
Hello, everyone! π
Today was the last sunny day, but it will start raining tomorrow, and maybe some snow will fall. Let's go for a walk in the meadows.
I didn't feel like going anywhere, but the sun, the clear blue sky, and my wife (and dog) convinced me to go.
We walked in the meadows near our town, along the Reka river, which meanders towards the Ε kocjan caves and also likes to flood.
As you can see, today's sky is cloudless, and the ground is still frozen in the shade and slightly wet elsewhere. It all looks more autumnal than wintry, but the climate is changing, and tomorrow, according to the weather forecasts, will be very different.
While my wife went on slowly, I took photos and thought (which I don't do often π). Usually, I like to look around and enjoy the view.
My head is full of thoughts, but something may clear up.
I am retired now and will have enough time, although my colleagues in the same position tell me I will have even less time now.
After 42 years of intense pace and pressure, I feel a specific relief and a little uncertainty. At first, I will probably think I am on holiday, but how it will be later remains to be seen.
I hope for the freedom to decide what I want to do and not be pushed into a role where I must do what others want.
I had no specific goals this year, so I followed the flow. Who knows, maybe I'll discover something new to do in my free time.
I've already been offered a few offers (or opportunities?), but I'm avoiding them like a cat avoiding boiling porridge.
They are too similar to what I have been doing.
Yes, it's an opportunity and a challenge for a new beginning, but in this period of my life, I'll spend more time on the things that make me happy.
I need to learn to enjoy simple things, such as walking on a sunny day, watching everyone rush around, talking more with friends, etc.
I haven't forgotten about Hive, either. It's growing rapidly, and I will be even more involved than I have been. I feel optimistic among all my online friends. Have we deserved it? Of course, we have, after all these years.
How long this cycle will last, I don't know because I cannot see into the future.
Basically, I am waiting for this winter and the cold to pass to spend more time outside with my feet firmly on the ground.
Then, some decisions will come.

Pritoizing happily is the way to go. Congrats on your retirement, I hope. You enjoy yourself now you're off work. The images are all beautiful, you did a thing with the shot.
Thank you. I'll try to enjoy it as much as I can. π
Wow those are some amazing photos π€©
Thanks. I chose better ones. They are all kind of monotonous to me. ππ·
You've taken a really cool photo, but unfortunately I see that some of the trees are a bit dry
Yeah, that's true. Here, it is winter, but it looks like a dry autumn.
