Flooding For The First Time This Year

After less than a year, we have floods here again. Heavy rains lasted all last week, and the river Reka, which flows in the valley, flooded. It's not as bad as last time and took less time.

The river is not particularly large, but it's a torrential river. It collects all the water from the SneΕΎnik hills, and during such heavy downpours, all the water flows into the valley. There are floods once or twice a year, at the beginning of spring, as now, and then sometimes in autumn.
Looking at the other side of the road, I was particularly interested here because I have a field next to it, and I was worried about whether it had been watered.
The water usually reaches the edge of my field. And so it was this time.
How long will this take?
It usually never takes more than a few days.
Well, it didn't take long; here are the photos after two days yesterday.
Although it was still raining, the water had receded, and the river had returned to its course.
And what about my field?
Eh, the bottom half is still full of water, but the top half is not. Since floods are expected, I accept them as part of nature here.
My only concern is when it will all dry out so we can start planting vegetables. The weather forecast for next week is not very promising, with a week of rain forecast again.
Maybe I should start planting rice? I don't know, haha. It's not that warm here, and in summer, the drought makes the soil hard as rock.

Rice is not a bad idea either π Joking aside, the farmhouse is still intact, the water will drain and the vegetables will grow. As you say, the natural cycle.

Yes, this must be considered. But if the land is yours (I got it from my mother), you accept it. π
I hope it dries out and doesn't delay planting season! You will probably be wishing for some of that water in August.

This small beautiful river is really worth seeing in this time of spring. The nature and environment here along with the wonderful rain water flowing through the river in the valley. Such a view is above all another part of the enchanting environment. The rain at this time especially is a blessing from the great creator. Yes, everything has calmed down now, the water is in its channel, it's clear and sunny, it's blowing quite a lot, and it's going to dry out some, but they are forecasting rain again for the weekend.

It is a lot of water during flood in your area. I hope that farmer around the area did not suffer too much damage during this water rising phenomena. Is there a warning mechanism to help you guys prepare for this time of situation? If it is an annual event and all the evidence point to the direction it is not going to return soon, I will believe in starting your production of rice. Hope I am not too far from the mind of Nature.
Yes, we have a lot of water and moisture, which is why everything is green. There are mechanisms to warn of this, but people are also used to flooding because it is expected. The rice thing was more of a joke. There have been a few attempts, but nothing has worked. It is not possible here; it is too cold.

Sorry about that, the government should take appropriate control of it.
The government cannot prevent it; when there is too much water, it spills over. But they have cleaned the riverbed and the riverbank so that it flows more efficiently.
