Getting some Inspiration to Get things Done!
Hail to the Hive!
It’s getting close to the end of the year and even though I’m not one of those ‘New Years Resolution’ type people I am gathering my thoughts and making plans for the year to come as I really want it to be a good one. I remember someone somewhere recently doing some sort of inspiration board post a while back so I thought I would scroll through my photo library and pick out some random shots to gather inspiration for next year or merely to remind and reinforce plans already in the making.
Scuba: now this is on the forefront of my mind at the moment. I am currently in the process of not only assembling dive gear,to replace the gear I sold, but also organising a little scuba dive get away in Egypt. So the board has old memories of diving in brrrr freezing cold Stoney Cove with my good friend Elliot, who I am hoping can Jedi mind trick his wife into allowing him a pass to come join me. He’s like my smarter younger brother and I taught him to dive many years ago in Jamaica so sharing the upcoming trip with him would be great.
@diveratt is on the board as we’ve shared a few adventures, drinking, diving, kayaking etc and he’s already signed up for the scuba trip (I’ve already booked accommodations) in Egypt so the reality of it all is sinking in. It’s nice to have a solid project already in the pipeline for early 2023 as it isn’t a ‘what if’ it’s a ‘ hell yeah!’
And when I put this year into Perspective we went from Narrowboat Living on the UK canals, aboard Badger the Narrowboat, to finishing the year with three months at the in laws in Jamaica. So 2023 will start in Jamaica then transition to diving in Egypt so who knows where we will end up. I’m pretty excited to tell the truth. So the Narrowboat and Jamaica 🇯🇲 are on the board to show things can lead to anywhere.
Also on my inspiration board is my mission and personal project/ promise to self to learn Japanese. i made a concerted effort during lockdown in 2020, while still in the Philippines, and made some good progress but returning to the UK in 2021 and the life aboard boat adventure meant the Japanese was shelved temporarily. I have recently rectified this and have been very disciplined in my approach, setting aside time every morning for study and it is starting to pay off. So that goes on my inspiration board also as I need to apply that same zeal every day all year and see where it gets me.
Does anyone else have anything excited planned for 2023? Travel? Self improvement? Let me know in the comments below ⬇️. Maybe I can draw some inspiration from whatever you guys are planning or thinking of doing 😁
Wishing you all the best for the coming year.
Be what you wanna be in 2023
