Fishing And Photography, Another Great Morning!
Last night, I got the call... "Yes, I'm in!"
I packed my fishing gear, woke up early today, and met up with a couple friends at nearby Boca Reservoir for a great morning of fishing on my buddy's boat.
Success! It was a slow day for fishing, however we ended up with one brown trout that I reeled in. It was a lot of fun getting out on the water with Blake who runs the Pisces Outdoors YouTube fishing channel, and Chef Nick of Tahoe Dinner Bell. Good times and good conversations.
Chef Nick is a private chef that has made meals for some very famous people (who's names I am not allowed to disclose but I guarantee you would recognize). Every time I get to sample his food, I always lol because it is always so F'n delicious. The dude has magical foodie powers. The sushi he prepared on the boat was a perfect snack. Some folks pay a lot of money for his skills, but it was free to me and very much appreciated!
Blake is a fishing guru. He is currently in the process of getting his fishing guide license. I have learned a ton from Blake while fishing with him over the years. Anybody that books a fishing trip with him will be a happy customer, for sure. The only bummer about him getting his guide license is that I may feel obligated to pay up for our outings.... Oh well, it would be worth it.
Whenever I go fishing, I always bring my good camera as well. These images below were shot on the Canon 5DS R with a 24-105mm lens. It was very foggy and cloudy out earlier in the morning. I thought it made for some nice soft photos.
It was a great morning! And I now have a nice trout dinner to look forward to. Cheers to the weekend! I hope you have a fun one.

The brown trout are not as common as rainbow trout up here, so they are always fun to catch. Thank you, glad you like those photos!

But no one called me, everyone forgot about me.
I think that in 2 weeks I will also be able to go fishing. The water in the river began to sink and I meet fishermen with fishing rods on its shore. But I only throw spinning. Now such fishing is banned until June 10. But in fact, after a week or 2, we can already try fishing.
Ha! I felt the same way when I saw fishing photos from the same boat this morning.... Blake has a lot of friends. I'm glad I make it into the rotation every once in a while.
