Splinterlands Ranked Battle With The PIRATE CAPTAIN.
Hey Guys.
What’s Up? How are you all holding up?
I hope that you all are well by the grace of Allah.
As promised I'm back again with another post of splinterlands. It's a new entry for this week's share your battle contest. In this post, I'll be sharing one of my ranked battles of splinterlands played with the fire splinter. I'll be discussing the lineup and strategy of this battle in this post. I'll also be sharing each and every detail of the monsters that I've used in this battle. I think I'll be able to explain the whole battle and describe every possibility of it. I hope you'll like it and it'll be enough for anyone to understand the battle strategy. Also, I hope that you like my thumbnail, I downloaded the background from here. It's a great site to download high-quality images that can be used as the background of thumbnails or wallpapers. And I downloaded the image of Pirate Captain and the image of the logo of Splinterlands from https://www.splinterlands.com. And then I used adobe photoshop to complete it.
Now, let's get back to the main topic.
Link to My Battle
As you can see that I've used the Spineback Turtle in the first position. The Spineback Turtle is a common beta monster that play's under the water splinter. The main reason for me using that card in the first position is its life level and the 2shield that this card has. It's really useful against ranged or melee attacks. And using this card only costs 4 mana caps. Also using this card first is also kind of a habit of mine. I'll talk about the reason at the end of the post. Now, let's focus on the battle & lineup. The shield may not be of any use against magic attacks but the huge amount of life capacity does help a lot. Also, The shields of the opponent's 1st monster were also not helpful for him. Both of our 1st cards died before getting the chance to strike back.
Then in the second position, I used the Medusa. The Medusa is a rare beta monster that also plays under the water splinter. I use this card in almost every battle of mine. The reason is it costs only 4 mana caps to use. And my other monsters that cost that little mana to use and also have the magic attacking ability, they all have only 1 life and their attacking speed is also 1. But, Medusa has 2 attacking speeds and it also has 3 life. Which makes this card better than theirs.
In the 3rd position, I've used theElven Mystic. The Elven Mystic is a rare untamed monster and this card is a neutral monster. It can play under any splinter/summoner. And the reasons for using this card are just as same as the Medusa's.
Then in the end I've used the theme card of this week's theme card. The Pirate Captain. The Pirate Captain is a common beta edition card that play's under the water splinter. As a monster with ranged attacking ability, I positioned it at the end of the line. This card is one of my favorite cards. It costs only a 3 mana cap to use, it has 2 attacking speeds including 3 life. But, it's the snipe ability of this card that makes me a fan of it. You can see at the end of the 1st round in my battle that how it took down the opponent's Enchanted Pixie which made my way clear to win the battle. If you've already seen my full battle, you surely know that I won the battle by 1 strike. If the monsters of the opponent had one more strike. I'd lost that battle. So, thanks to Pirate Captain I won the battle. There's also a reason for using the Pirate Captain in most of my battles. It's the same as the Spineback Turtle. I'll discuss it in the end.
It was all about my lineup and also about the reasons to put each card in its position including the abilities of the cards.
Strategy
In this battle my strategy was to hold the attacks using the Spineback Turtle and by the time my magic attacking monsters will kill the opponent's monsters. Though the Spineback Turtle wasn't able to hold for longer, I still won the match because the enemy's first monster had less life and felt down easily.
Did I use this Pirate Captain often?
I use this card in most of the battles that I play using the water splinter. The reason is it costs less mana cap and also has the snipe ability.**
This was all about the battle, lineup, and strategy. Now let’s know about this card which is the main topic. The PIRATE CAPTAIN.
Pirate Captain.
The Pirate Captain is a common beta edition card that plays under the water splinter. It costs 3 mana caps to use in battle, it has the ranged attacking ability which has the power to damage 1 life/shield. Its specialty is the snipe ability that it possesses. This ability helps it to detect monsters with magic and ranged ability and takedown them first. This card becomes more powerful when it reaches the top-level (starting from level 6). In its max level, it gets super fast with 6 attacking speeds. The damaging ability increases to 3. And most of all it gets the inspire ability. This ability helps all friendly monsters to gain a +1 melee attacking ability. Which is so much useful in winning a battle.

Explanation about this card from SPLINTERLANDS (splinterlore).
The question may have already appeared that I’m writing a post to join some contest. But where are the details about the contest?
Here are the details.
There amazing thing is ongoing in this blockchain for almost 3 years maybe and I'm a part of it for more than 2 years. So, it's not something new but I think there's still someone who doesn't know about it or isn't a part of it yet.
This amazing thing is the ongoing contest of splinterlands. By now I guess most of you know what SPLINTERLANDS is. It's an online card game. Though it's not only a game, in here you can earn by playing, trade by buying and selling. You will also get amazing rewards in the daily quests and also in season-ending quests. This is one of the best card games that I've ever played. The fun thing is, there's a lot of cards/monsters to use in battle. And when I say a lot, I mean it. And all of them have their own specialty, separate types of powers and so many types of special abilities. There are even some summoners under those the cards play. These summoners also have their own ability which affects the battlefield. This is really amazing. This gives you the chance to think of hundreds of strategies for your battle. Believe me, once you start playing this game you'll fall in love with it.
All of these are my personal opinion about @splinterlands and their contest. And if you find it interesting, you are welcome to join SPLINTERLANDS. I'm also putting my referral link to make it easy for you to join if you want. There are already some people who joined splinterlands using my refer. You’re also welcome to join.

And my today's post is to join this week's contest of sharing your battle arranged by the @splinterlands team. To join this contest you'll need to create a post where you'll need to share a battle of yours which you should play by the rules that are given in the contest. You'll also need to answer some of the questions that @splinterlands asked in the announcement post of the contest. And this week's rule is you need to use a specific monster in your battle named The PIRATE CAPTAIN. After creating your post and posting it on this blockchain, you'll need to share it on any social media and put both your post link and the link from the social media on the comment section of the announcement post of this week's contest. You'll need to follow up on these things to perfectly join this amazing contest. I'm also putting the link to this week's contest below in case you want to join it.

Something more to add:-
In the list of the monsters that I used in this battle, The Spineback Turtle and The Pirate Captain were my most favorite cards. There's a reason behind me using the word "were". I had most of the cards and summoners at the top level. It was then when splinterlands was known as steemmonsters. I had a gold card of this Spineback Turtle. It had superfast attacking speed, more life capacity, increased melee attacking power including a special ability named Thorns. Which was a reflective attack. If it got damaged by any ranged of melee attacks, it'd reflect the damage to that enemy monster with the help of this ability. And with these two standing in the front and end of the line, my battles were most likely half won. But, I had some big crisis in my life and I was under so many money problems that I had to sell all my steem+sbd, crypto holdings even all the cards and summoners of splinterlands to get rid of these problems. I still haven't fully recovered from these problems and trying to build my game profile slowly. I hope someday I'll be able to make my account as strong as before.
I really hope that you enjoyed reading my post and also enjoyed my battle. And as always it felt good to share my opinion about something with everyone. I'll be back among you all soon with another battle of mine to share it. So, stay tuned guys.
See you again in my next post. Till then stay happy, stay healthy. Take care. Also, stay at home and use a mask whenever you go outside. Because the second wave of covid-19 has started already and it's going to be more dangerous than ever. Good Bye.
Well done with the battle strategy.
I'm preparing mine as well.
