Saludos, comunidad, ya Hive Music Festival llega a su semana 45 brindándonos la oportunidad de compartir nuestra música y poder escuchar a valiosos intérpretes desde lugares que nos son remotos y quiza nunca lleguemos a conocer.

En las semanas anteriores he compartido con ustedes temas originales, hoy, sin embargo, participaré con el cover de una canción muy especial tanto por suletra como por su melodía.

Se trata del tema "Canción Mansa Para Un Pueblo Bravo" que en su momento fue creada en el marco de lo que se llamó "La Canción de Protesta", utilizada como una herramienta de denuncia que puede tener diversas lecturas dependiendo de la mentalidad yla interpretación de cada oyente. A veces las palabras se pueden tomar literalmente, otras veces revelan un trasfondo que quizá no conozcamos en su totalidad.
Guiándonos por su primera línea nos lleva a ubicarnos Cumaragua, un pueblo de la zona costera de Venezuela en el cual la única fuente de sustento es trabajar en las salinas.
Un trabajo rudo, bajo un sol inclemente, rodeado, de una extraña belleza ya que sus arenas son de color rosado y al atardecer pueden verse casi rojas por la alta concentración en las aguas de un elemento químico llamado tanino.
Allí, con el rostro cubierto, casi forrado, para poder soportar el intenso calor, en el oficio que se hereda de padres a hijos de generación en generación, los obreros de las salinas realizan su rudo trabajo.

El compositor de esta bella canción es el recordado cantautor venezolano Alí Primera y este es uno de sus temas emblemáticos, aunque les invito a escuchar también "Cunaviche Adentro", "Tin Marín" y "No Basta Rezar". Falleció en un accidente automovilístico a los 42 años y era conocido como "El Cantor del Pueblo" por la carga de denuncia social que tenían sus temas de gran riqueza no solo lírica sino también melódica. Cantaba acompañándose tocando el Cuatro Venezolano (Instrumento musical de cuatro cuerdas con la afinación A - D-F# -B).

It is about the theme "Meek Song For A Brave Town" which at the time was created within the framework of what was called "The Protest Song", used as a denunciation tool that can have different readings depending on the mentality and interpretation. of each listener. Sometimes the words can be taken literally, other times they reveal a background that we may not fully understand.
Guiding us along its first line, it leads us to Cumaragua, a town in the coastal zone of Venezuela in which the only source of livelihood is to work in the salt flats.
A tough job, under an inclement sun, surrounded by a strange beauty since its sands are pink and at sunset they can be seen almost red due to the high concentration in the waters of a chemical element called tannin.
There, with their faces covered, almost lined, to be able to withstand the intense heat, in the trade that is inherited from father to son from generation to generation, the workers of the salt flats carry out their hard work.

The composer of this beautiful song is the renowned Venezuelan singer-songwriter Alí Primera and this is one of his emblematic songs, although I invite you to also listen to "Cunaviche Adentro", "Tin Marín" and "No Basta Rezar".
