My Happy Purchase --- Week 97 Edition 01

Here's another week on Hive learners platform, week 97 Edition 01, where we're permitted to express ourselves and thoughts through the art of writing, and I must say it's been amazing journey so far.

There are lot of times that we buy stuffs for different reasons, some people buy items because they need it, some buy items because they want it, some buy items for future purposes while some people even but things based on impulse. They don't need nor want that particular item, they just buy it because they see it, like it and buy it.

I'm a shoemaker and there was a time I began to learn my skill and I was in dire need of a filing machine, I couldn't afford it then and I didn't have anyone to help me with money to get it. I began the innovation of going to some fellow shoemaker's shop to make use of theirs until I could save up to buy mine.

Sometime in 2022, I got my own filing machine and my joy knew no bounds. I was so happy to the extent that sometimes, even when I don't have any work doing, I'd just go and put it on just to see it rolling 😃. It became a part of me that when school work started getting overwhelming and I didn't have time to make footwears, I missed it like I'd miss a special person in my life.

I was always happy to use it and whenever it serves me, I make sure to bless the day I bought the machine. It hasn't developed any fault since I bought it and the thought of that alone gives me joy and I've never regretted buying it.

On the other hand of regretting something I bought, Recently (last year December), I had a pressing need for earpods because earpieces weren't working for me, I needed to rehearse for an upcoming competition and I needed to score the songs using an earpiece or earpods. Since earpiece wasn't it I then decided to order an earpod from one of the famous online shopping store in Nigeria. Truth be told, they got it delivered to me as prompt as possible but another truth be told? I have never enjoyed the earpods ever since I got it. All the features of the earpod were contrary to the description of the product uploaded online.

The battery could barely last up to 2 hours whereas, it was described to last for 6-8 hours, the fingerprint sensor is less sensitive compared to what was on the description. And I must confess that I regretted buying the earpods because they didn't serve me as expected at all. As a matter of fact, I barely make us of it now and it's always in my drawer or bag (for urgent use only).
