Recorrido hacia el hotel mas lujoso de Venezuela (Hotel Humboldt) 😱

Saludos amigos de Hive, el día de hoy me hace mucha ilusión compartir con ustedes parte de lo que fue mi estadía en la ciudad de Caracas-Venezuela durante la competencia de ajedrez final de la copa “Bicentenario Batalla de Carabobo” en el majestuoso Hotel Humbolt ubicado en el parque nacional Waraira Repano. Fue un arduo proceso clasificar a esta final, primero se paso por una fase clasificatoria de 3 torneos en linea jugados a través de la plataforma de lichess.org, donde se contó con una asistencia aproximada de 200 jugadores. En el ranking final de estos 3 torneos quedé de segundo lugar en la clasificación obteniendo así el pase a dicha final.

Prácticamente, este torneo fue mi regreso a las partidas de ajedrez presencial ya que no se habían realizado muchos torneos debido a la pandemia, fue un poco raro volver al tablero puesto que tenia como 1 año y medio aproximadamente sin jugar en físico. No obstante, para haber sido mi primer torneo post-parón, no me fue tan mal como pensaba que me iría, pude lograr el tercer lugar 🥉 e incluso casi ganar el torneo en la última partida, lastima que por pequeños descuidos no pude concretar cierta ventaja que tenía y termine perdiendo.

Sin embargo no estuvo para nada mal mi resultado en general, acabando con 6 puntos de 9 posibles, empatando dos partidas y solo perdiendo una.

Sin lugar a dudas son experiencias únicas las que se obtienen en estos viajes, aparte de ir a competir y buscar obtener el mejor resultado, siempre quedan nuevas amistades, aprendizajes y vivencias. Por mi parte pude conocer un poco más de el turismo de mi pais, logrando apreciar vistas inigualables en el parque nacional Waraira Repano o también llamado parque nacional el Ávila. Su nombre "Waraira Repano" fue denominado por la etnia Caribe, los cuales eran originarios del valle de caracas, que según algunos su significado es "Sierra Grande".

Asimismo, este parque nacional podría considerarse como el pulmón vegetal de la ciudad de Caracas, existen diversos senderos para subir este cerro, en mi caso y el de mis compañeros fue subir por el teleférico el cual es un sistema de transporte aéreo en cabinas que van colgadas por cables que permiten su desplazamiento.

Cabe mencionar que esta ruta que utilizamos sirve para llegar de forma más rápida al hotel Humboldt que era el sitio donde se realizó el torneo. Asimismo, el Hotel Humboldt es un hotel icónico, no solo por su estructura arquitectónica tan deslumbrante sino también por su historia y representación de la sociedad caraqueña de aquel entonces. Es un hotel muy lujoso y sin nada que envidiar a los otros de la capital, su fachada es estupenda, tiene como una forma circular y cuenta con una vista fascinante en la cual se puede apreciar toda la ciudad.

Greetings friends of Hive, today I am very excited to share with you part of what was my stay in the city of Caracas-Venezuela during the final chess competition of the cup "Bicentennial Battle of Carabobo" in the majestic Hotel Humbolt located in the national park Waraira Repano. It was an arduous process to qualify for this final, first we went through a qualifying phase of 3 online tournaments played through the lichess.org platform, where approximately 200 players attended. In the final ranking of these 3 tournaments I was in second place in the standings, thus obtaining the pass to the final.

Practically, this tournament was my return to face-to-face chess games since there had not been many tournaments due to the pandemic, it was a little strange to return to the board since I had about a year and a half without playing physical chess. However, for being my first tournament after the break, it was not as bad as I thought it would go, I could achieve the third place 🥉 and even almost won the tournament in the last game, too bad that due to small oversights I could not realize some advantage I had and ended up losing.

However, my overall result was not bad at all, finishing with 6 points out of a possible 9, drawing two games and only losing one.

Undoubtedly these are unique experiences that are obtained in these trips, apart from going to compete and seek to get the best result, there are always new friendships, learning and experiences. For my part I was able to learn a little more about the tourism of my country, getting to appreciate unparalleled views in the Waraira Repano National Park or also called Avila National Park. Its name "Waraira Repano" was named by the Caribe ethnic group, who were originally from the Caracas Valley, which according to some means "Sierra Grande".

Also, this national park could be considered as the green lung of the city of Caracas, there are several trails to climb this hill, in my case and that of my companions was to climb the cable car which is an air transport system in cabins that are hung by cables that allow their displacement.

It is worth mentioning that this route that we use serves to get to the Humboldt Hotel, which was the site where the tournament was held, in a faster way. Also, the Hotel Humboldt is an iconic hotel, not only for its dazzling architectural structure but also for its history and representation of the Caracas society of that time. It is a very luxurious hotel with nothing to envy to others in the capital, its facade is great, it has a circular shape and has a fascinating view in which you can see the whole city.
