It could sound inferior we I tell you, I believe being lazy is a sin.

We actually don’t need to hurt people around us physically before it can be classified has a sin. Being a sloth gives the feeling comfort and carefree but deep down the mind is never settled due to the fact that, ‘the act of sloth not been productive and refusing to obey the glory of the Almighty Father (God).

Sloth comes with emptiness of the mind and the soul of a man. It kills slowly and brings unbearable regrets when you discover you have limited amount of time to make things right or even no time.

Sloth comes from the temptation of comfort.

The willingness not to work, stress the brain and body before achieving a calm or share from what other people struggled to get. It might feel like enjoyment, but sit back and pounder on the feeling of sloth. It’s like I said it’s just a body with emptiness🤷‍♂️.

My remedy towards sloth behaviors.
When I keep reminding myself about this things, I push on to go extra mile to go creative and hardworking; setting achievements every year and strategies on how to get them done. There’s always a goal list sticked to my room wall reminding me not to go soft on sloth attitude fighting that mind and mentality away. When dream about the things most people would say is impossible to achieve. Then, I work towards it by convincing them. Nothing is impossible but only giving room for laziness drags you back from the Goals.

Being a sloth blinds us from the gifts God has blessed we all with; and that why it’s a sin before Him. It’s like you wasting the efforts of our creator. Then, in the prayers of a lazy person, he/she asks for several demands and never work towards achieving them. We should work then, leave God to bless the works of our hands.

Just like a story that goes;
A master and his seven(7) servants.
The master gave his seven servants maze seeds unequally. Some four(4) while some three(3) or eight(8). And the last one of them; the master gave one maze seed. After several years of harvest, they where asked to show what they have done with there gifts. Six out of seven of the servants had something to show for, but the last one kept his seed telling the Master he had one seed while others had numerous seeds. So, he had to keep the seed for the master till he would ask for them back to show how loyal he was.
The Master shouts angrily, “you lazy Fool”. Because of your laziness of not planting the seed, you have made your family and people around you suffer in hunger and pain. Now you have there pains and suffering on your hands.
The end.

Sloth is indeed a deadly sin which we all must fight against every single time; because it picks decisions we would definitely regret.

Thank you for reading through and wishing everyone productivity ahead 😊.

I like the story you shared regarding the master and his servants. It gives a good example of sloth. Did you write it?

No I didn’t, it was used by a Rev. father when I was in secondary school during his preaching against greed and laziness
