Reliving a classic but in its improved version - Playing Diablo Hellfire
(Edited)
Diablo 1 was one of my favorite childhood games I remember playing it with my sister on the PS1 over 20 years ago, perhaps not many people know this, but some developers who were fans of the game added extras to make it more interesting this version of the game was called Diablo Hellfire which I'll be playing next.
Feeling quite confident in my knowledge of the game, as I am a big fan of the Diablo series in general, I started by selecting the archer and choosing the nightmare difficulty. I believe I know many tricks that will allow me to beat the game at this difficulty level.
As a curious fact, most beginners choose to play as the warrior, but contrary to popular belief, it´s the worst character, as it becomes very difficult and tedious to fight against enemies that attack from a distance at higher levels. The warrior is a character designed for close combat, and some enemies do anything to stay away from you, making it very difficult to even hit them. This is not a problem for the archer or the wizard.
The game starts in a town called Tristram. Before delving into the catacombs, I saw a dying man at the entrance. This means the side quest 'The Butcher' is active. I know this boss is tough, but there are some tricks to make it easier; I would see how it goes for me... In level 1, the enemies were very tough due to the difficulty, but since in the early levels they don't open doors, I used that to my advantage, which helped me greatly to finish them off.
Due to the difficulty of the game, the defeated enemies quickly made me level up, which helps a bit, since in this game the equipment is very important. I quickly reached level 6, but had found very few useful items. After about an hour of exploring the first floor, I barely found a helmet that gave me +1 classic armor and a bow slightly better than the one I had at the beginning of the game. What a bad luck... At least after leveling up 12 levels in this place, the enemies have become a little easier to eliminate.
Once I had explored every corner of the map and had nothing left to explore, it was time to go down to the second floor. I had barely taken a few steps when suddenly I saw the optional boss room of The Butcher. I finished off the enemies around and proceeded to face him. He could defeat my character with a single blow, and defeating him in a traditional way would be impossible, but I know a very useful trick. It consists of placing the character behind some stairs. Why? Well, this causes a glitch where the boss gets stuck behind the stairs and cannot approach our character. Even using this method, it took me more than 5 minutes of shooting arrows to defeat him, but he left me an interesting axe. It inflicts a lot of damage but has low durability.
