Diablo: Hellfire (Nightmare difficulty) - Defeating King Leoric and knowing the mystery of the magic rock

Continuing my adventure in Diablo: Hellfire. On the 2nd floor, after defeating The Butcher, I explored the area a bit without finding anything interesting. But I noticed that my character had reached level 17 quite quickly.

I no longer had items to recover my magic or health, so I quickly went to Tristram using a Town Portal Scroll. Once there, I bought some mana and health items and took the opportunity to talk to the villagers to see if they had any side quests for me.

With nothing else to do, I returned to the catacombs but due to the difficulty level and the amount of damage I was receiving from the enemies, in an instant I had already used up the items I had recently bought, what a mess...

After recharging my health and magic items again, I found that in the town, the witch Adria was selling the book of Fire Wall. This ability made it much easier to defeat enemies, since the fire produced by this magic lasts quite a while, and enemies don’t cross through it while the magic is active.

After a while, I found a room with a library. It had a magic spell called Holy Bolt, which, despite doing a lot of damage, only works against undead enemies, so it didn't seem very useful to me.

After I finished exploring the entire 2nd floor and without luck in finding any gear items, I had no choice but to go down to the 3rd floor. There, after defeating a few enemies, I found armor and a helmet, but the required strength level was too high so my character couldn’t use those yet.

While exploring the area further, I found 2 altars that when activated, left some messages I didn't understand, such as 'salvation at the cost of wisdom.' I really don't know how they affect my character or the game itself, but I activated both.

After going back to the town and selling the items that were not useful to me, I found some items that my character could use. Most of them weren't great, except for a ring that added 8 points to dexterity. This is important because the main attribute of the archer is dexterity, which gives us accuracy and increases the damage caused by arrows.

I went down into some kind of tomb where there were a lot of skeletons and some levers that needed to be activated. I know this is the tomb of King Leoric. Thanks to my Fire Wall skill and another recently purchased skill, Lightning Wall, defeating him was easy.

After defeating a bunch of skeletons and King Leoric, He dropped a crown, which, despite having the specialty of life-stealing, is actually useless to the archer since it only steals life using melee combat. For this reason, I sold it and continued searching for useful items.

In this tomb, I finally found equipment items that were useful for my character, like a half-decent armor.

I left King Leoric's tomb and found the stairs leading down to the 4th floor. But before going down to the next floor, I returned to Tristam town once more to buy health potions and repair my equipment. Here, the blacksmith told me about a strange rock he wants me to find for him. We'll see what that's about in the next chapter, as I really don't remember anymore.
