Hello @ladiesofhive , @silverbloggers and hive friends out there! I seem to fall in this category, of being misunderstood. More often than not, I guess it's because I seldom smile by nature hence am often misunderstood as being snobbish and unapproachable. I tend to speak my mind frankly even online so long as it's constructive. Well, it's my nature after all so I don't find it necessary to change my attitude at else I would feel uncomfortable to be smiling when I don't feel like it, right?

All you need to do is approach me then we talk and you will find out that I am someone you can rely on. I am a softhearted person to those who are good to me and I hate backbiters! I don't rely on other's efforts and dig on them because I try my best to be an independent person unless the person involved is the one responsible to feed my family who is my husband. It's his job after all!

Be as it may, I was used to do office work myself even if my husband can afford to feed me and my kids. He was a sailor and a a second mate officer which is more than enough for us. He's quite protective towards his family and me. Perhaps, it's due to the nature of his work that he's trying to avoid misunderstanding between us.

To make the story short, it's the thing called "infidelity' where these things do happen in the absence of one! He had seen many wives of sailors like him who were dumped or had hidden affairs when their husbands are out at sea to earn a living. I myself have seen this with my other lady friends whose been involved. All I can say is that it all depends on the person.

I fully believed that the thing called "Love" is the greatest foundation to avoid temptation. This is the main reason why he didn't want me to do office work for fear that his 'beautiful' wife will be snatched by others! Lol!. I have worked as a Board Secretary in a legislative office in the local city government but it was short while because I got pregnant with our second child which was a "valid' reason for me to quit and he was happy!

I got 2 nannies and worked again. It was my outlet to avoid boredom inside the house. Maybe it's the thought that I got used to working in the office not because I don't love my kids. Of course I love my own flesh and blood more than anything else! Another reason was that I, too, wanted to earn my own money aside from my monthly allotted. I was misunderstood. They said that I only wanted to work so I can go out and look beautiful always! Of course, it's a protocol to look presentable especially if you're the secretary and facing different officials everyone and then. I was forced to resign to avoid misunderstanding with my hubby.

On the other hand, I was again misunderstood by my in-laws, having in mind that I was only "sitting pretty" while hubby's working hard! GOSH! What will I gonna do with these kind of mindset? Well, I didn't care at all! It was my hubby's decision after all.

Despite of it all, I showed them that I am not easily bothered. I still used my ability in making my own money through sewing. I showed them that I can earn my own money to feed myself but it's still the responsibility of my husband to feed his family. I made bags out of high quality used materials from a rummage store including interior decorations such as curtains, seat covers, throw pillows, bed sheets. I made a good impression from my customers with my durable workmanship then I ventured to making bulk orders of such then to package deals in school band uniforms. See, had I followed what others would say then I would be constantly at their mercy! All I could say is that don't let others misjudge you. Do what your heart desire even if others misunderstood you because they're not feeding you, right?
