The Coffee Shop Prompt Week 80: Spending my special day @McCafe is Always special at Any Day
There are various food houses to choose from if you want to spend some time quality time with your love ones. We went to our favourite dining place at McDonald's but this time, we chose to dine at adjacent side which is their McCafe. The ambience is filled with the tempting aroma of coffee. It's heaven! Regular coffee drinkers like me find it relaxing.

My daughter opted for us to spend my birthday at this cool place because she knows that I will be overwhelmed when it comes to coffee!:) At this point in time, I am no longer a heavy eater unlike before when you crave for all the delicious foods but hey, at 67 there's a long list of "prohibitions"! While going through the list, almost nothing is left for me to eat!:)
Anyways, my doctor said that I can still eat but it should be controlled. Hence, when I looked at the show window, the cakes displayed were all yummy looking and since it's my birthday, my daughter picked a slice of each!❤️
A taste of each with matching McCafe Latte was perfect. We were allowed to bring spaghetti and chicken joy inside the cafe.
I admired the works of Art posted on the mini gallery wall. Hmm, Antonia and I planned to update our painting with those inspiring paintings.
My youngest daughter,(Antonia's mom) called us to greet me as well as my youngest son who couldn't make it due to his work in another city.

Oh happy birthday! On a special day of course you deserved a treat! Macdonadls despite being fast food, works with pretty good coffee beans and they largely respect the farmers who take care of it. Keep enjoying it!
Thanks dear! It's the right place for light eaters and late diners too. The place is strategically located at the heart of the city where you can see different people strolling around with their bikes and skates, couples with baby strollers, some watching the music lights, the younger generation practicing breakdance, etc. and for all you know you've already consumed 2 cups of coffee while watching them. Lol!
Actually, we buy native coffee beans at home and my helper used to do the roasting. It's more savoury when you sprinkle a bit of brown sugar and butter when it's done. We only have robusta beans. Arabica is more expensive. There's a combination of both when you buy Nescafé Gold in granules and Folgers. Hmm smelling good!

Absolutely! It's heartwarming to the feeling of being loved. I used to be alone when my kids were still studying in another city so I give a little thanksgiving celebration with our church people. They usually conduct a serenade at 5 AM, bringing along some food like sweetened glutinous rice, rice cake, bread, 3-in1 coffee and of course, a birthday cake for the celebrant. You will be awaken by their soft melodic voices that you can't avoid to be misty eyed. That's the simple life in the province.
