Apron Pocket Embroidery

Hello my dear needleworkers! Any thoughts for the day? Me, I guess the Girl Scouts' motto is more suited for us moms, big sis or grannies? It's "Be Prepared" at all times! That's right, granny me is to the rescue when things seems to falter. I mean when things are not the way it is!

The Level 9 TLE students of St. Benilde School are bound to make their first experiment in cooking. They were required to buy their respective aprons with a big pocket where they are bound to embroider their names on it with a heart. Antonia's caption was "2nya ❤️ TLE". She showed me her sketch. It was nice and she's got the art!

Last night, I told her to start with the embroidery then I'll do the rest since she still needs to review her notes for the exam the following day. I know her eyesight is not so good with -400 for distance and -200 astigmatism. Therefore, granny cones to the rescue!

I started with the heart shape by pasting a double-edged tape to make it stable before applying a blanket on the edges.

Next is the name 2nya to start with doing a back stitch in red, yellow, green and pink respectively.
Letters T-L-E (Technology Livelihood Education)is about 2 inches in length and half inch in width.

Well, the letters are thick which took me 2 hours to finish!:) An outline around the letters is a plus to hide any uneven stiches and of course, it looks more heavy to look at.

She will be using this during their baking session in their TLE subject tomorrow. I guess they will be baking some cupcakessince she asked about our muffin tray. It's an advantage if you know little things such as embroidery. It will save your day...:)
