A Pizza For Antonia: For Maintaining Her Grades With Honors
Hello everyone! It was a tough job for students who are under the home based learning program at this time of Pandemic especially if their parents are busy working to meet both ends for the family. Antonia is not an exemption since her mom needed to be away from her daughter for their future. As usual, granny me is the shock absorber!:) and I am a strict educator at that!
Last Wednesday, I went to their school to submit her project. I asked permission that Antonia's retrieval might be delayed because we will be going to my daughter's house to take over as their helper was indisposed.Their class adviser told me that it's okay because they will be having a school awarding on Friday yet. I said thanks for the consideration and went out.
I took some pictures of the plants outside. They're beautiful!
When I reached home, I recalled what the teacher said: Hmmm, I said to myself, it's an indication that Antonia is on the Honor Roll list again!
My hint was right! Their teacher send me a copy of their official list of the honor students! Antonia got 93%, about 1 step higher of her previous grade which was 92%. I will let her mom do the the task for the pictorial while receiving the certificate with her adviser as required. I for one, was overjoyed with her achievement. Our fruits of labour was not in vain! I needed to keep on reminding her of her module because once she does her digital drawing, you can see she's in deep concentration that sometimes forgets she's been there for 3-4 hours already! It's her outlet whenever she's free because we don't want her to go outside unless necessary for fear of getting contaminated! She also liked to read novels and gets hooked to it. Anyways, she still got good grades and that's more than enough.
We're together most of the time and I see to it that she's doing good in academics and the rest will be secondary only.
My son-in-law arrived at night from Canlaon to pick up her modules and of course, her favourite pizza as a reward for a job well done!
Antonia's adviser sent her temporary report card of their grades. Hmmm, I told her to do better in Math next time!
She smiled, said thanks and ate with gusto. She's no longer the vocal child she used to be. She's now more reserved as the days passes by. I guess it's part of growing up.:)
She got the modules and did her task again.
My two grandkids are my priorities this time because they still needed my guidance, love and understanding. They're both intelligent kids. My grandson has more medals at their home. He's a soccer player on the defense and a beatbox player too. Am so proud of them!
Either face to face or home based, it all depends on the child's focus with our assistance as the need arises.
This is all for now, thank you!
beautiful flowers and that pizza looks so tasty
Congratulations to Antonio so well done
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
Let’s say Congratulations to Antonio for the great honor. Many students are complaining about Online while she was doing good job with her study. I just want to say I appreciate her hard working.
Actually, they like the normal classes but they have no choice, right? Therefore, we need to guide them too. She's luckier too because I no longer work in the office and doing online job is flexible. It's real hard for working parents so they opted to hire tutors for their kids. A little "push" is also needed and a little "bribery"! Lol! Her mom would say "Baby, do your work now...mama will buy you a pizza once it's done!😄
Hi! Nice work on studies for the young lady! I use to do the same after seeing my son's report! He is an excellent student too.
That's great! It's so heartwarming when you see your kid as an achiever. It means a lot. Congratulations to your son for a job well done as well!
Congratulations sister! Mana sympre sa lola.
Salamat sister. Pag may nilaga may kakainin talaga.
Great job Antonia!! Keep it up!
