156th Edition Challenge #2: Hope, Perseverance and Conviction

Greetings ladies of hive community! The theme for this challenge is rather vague in nature since it involves our in-depth feeling and heart stirring experience in life. But then, talking about it is such a relief when you voice out what your inner self has been keeping deep inside which is almost suffocating, right?

Though once you let the cat out of the bag, there's no stopping. Let me give you an outline of my previous post here and kindly read it:

After reading it, can you now relate my past struggles?

Each one of us has their own stories to tell. As the saying goes, "There's a solution to every problem" says our teacher in Trigonometry and she's right. It is said that God don't give us problems that we couldn't handle. But just how heavy is the yoke that you carry on your shoulder? I have suffered bitterly that I blamed the people around me especially my mother who didn't have the backbone to let me stay by her side and look after me when I needed her at the most crucial moments in my life!

I even blamed God for allowing me to be borne and suffer the consequences, why should I suffer for the sins of others? It's so grossly unfair!

But I have survived and the rest is history. It's something to ponder and learn from it to make you a better person, strong and hard to be deceived! I have learned to develop myself based on my education and passion in life away from temptation to do the bad things that could only trample you to the wrong path. It's only a matter of hope, perseverance and conviction.

Mental health may be previous events or very current situation. Learning to cope how to overcome feeling of being despondent, disillusioned, you found a path to safe space where one is able to grow according to what you seek.

Am glad I've followed my dreams so I can proudly say, "I am what I am now without remorse." Hypothetically, it molded us to be better and stronger person.

I didn't ask for such kind of existence sis and they don't have any rights to mistreat me either so it's not acceptable in any sense of word. Hoping against hope that somebody would guided me to report such heinous and barbaric act to the authority, I would have done so a long time ago. And yes, I have grown to protect myself at any cost.

What terrible abuse you had endured @sarimanok , I can imagine what kind of judgment your uncle will face before God. We may not know right away but we suffer for a reason that will eventually glorify God and strengthen your character.

God punished him in someone's hands at the most crucial moment and am thankful that my hands were not smeared with his dirty blood! I knew then that God did not forsake me and that I can handle any situation in the future with firm conviction. I've made a vow that I won't let anybody harm my family when the time comes. I became a very protective mom to my kids.

It's sad at times that those people whom you trust are also those who harm you. Your struggles made you strong and with your perseverance, you weather them all. God is good. He will never give us challenges that we cannot handle. Good luck, Sis. God speed. 💖

You're right sis. To think he's one of the church elders and so lenient in the eyes of others. We even seek to his rescue when his wife becomes to agressive. Actually, it's a relief talking about this situation in this little box with you guys rather than face the scrutiny of others around me during those dark times. Thanks for being here sis. I know you're my dear friend online. I hope to see F2F on of these days.

Yes, spilling it out at least helps you ease the pain of yesteryears. It's hard when you just keep it to yourself. It's kinda torture to you.
