Athlete's diet:
In athletes, carbohydrates are the main source of energy for the body and are used more than in sedentary people. Protein is also consumed more for muscle growth useful for the practice of most disciplines, as well as for repairing affected muscle tissue. Therefore, it is best to eat foods containing these macronutrients after each workout. Participants must adapt their diet to the sport they play. But in the majority of cases, the needs are the same: carbohydrates and proteins constitute in particular the macronutrients whose consumption is to be increased. Those involved in endurance sports such as running or soccer will prefer carbohydrate intake, although this should be accompanied by protein. Indeed, these sports will damage their glycogen reserve. Those who practice strength sports such as bodybuilding will also ingest a significant amount of carbohydrates, but will also eat a significant amount of protein.
