"Up In The Air" Starring George Clooney
Yea, I know I am guilty as charged, I am a huge fan of George Clooney and I am not ashamed to say it. I have been a die-hard fan since the very first day I saw the movie Ocean's Eleven where he played the leader of a gang of intellectual thieves that rob without the use of guns and weapons. I know that most women are the ones found in this space of admitting their die-hard love for an actor but this time only, please permit me to admit mine. There is this subtle calmness that comes with the way he recites his lines in a movie, something like he knows what he's saying and he says it with emotions. It isn't a topic up for discussion that his manner of talking and gestures exhibits heartfelt emotions that can't be denied or avoided.
So it wasn't much of a big deal when I saw a scene from the movie Up in the Air on my Instagram reel that I decided to watch the movie.
Up in the air is a movie filled with comedy and drama both at the same time and it talks about a corporate downsizer whose main job is to relieve people of their job with ease and with no hard feelings attached.
The short video clip of the movie I saw on my Instagram was about how the lead actor, George Clooney did a brilliant job of relieving a man of his duties at a company. He did it in such a way that was hard to deny or resist the fact that he was right. He told the man that a reason why people especially young adults love athletes is because of the fact that athletes follow their dreams and live the life they've always wanted. This intro alone was George Clooney's free get-away jail card which he used on the man in order to avoid any emotional drama or damage within the workspace and he even went on to give the man proof that his true passion lies in being a restauranter and not working as an employee at the firm.
Damn!!! I was so triggered to watch the movie and find out how it will play out for George Clooney.
A major prerequisite of George Clooney's job of being a downsizer in this movie is the harsh reality that he has to travel from one place to another, thereby making him distant from his immediate family and finding difficulty in maintaining a relationship.
The nature of his job makes him build a fleeting lifestyle and believe in the idea that he doesn't really need to get seriously involved with anyone. His encounter with a female character known as Alex played by Vera Farmiga makes it even better. Alex holds up a belief in George's lifestyle and gives him the time of his life every time they get to spend during any of their business trips. She believes that Ryan, the character played by George Clooney is a means of escape from the tight-upness of her everyday life but things get complicated as usual when Ryan begins to gain feelings for her but she doesn't feel the same way. Something worse than drama in a movie is the catching of feelings from a person that didn't believe he could have any.
Up in the air is a must-watch movie and I won't be too surprised if you that is reading this movie review as watched the movie already, because it happens to be a 2009 movie directed by Jason Reitman, a popular Canadian-American filmmaker known for his blockbuster movie Ghostbuster and the movie is based on the best-selling novel by Walter Kirn with the same title Up In The Air. Also the movie was nominated for 6 Oscars and Golden Globe awards in which it won a Best Screenplay awa from Golden Globe according to its page on Wikipedia.
In Conclusion
I recommend the movie to you if you are a George Clooney fan like myself and if you are not, still watch the movie cause it is worth every bit of your screen time.

George Clooney is a good actor. No doubt about that.
Nice review bro.
Unrelated but I just wanted to say this man is beautiful.
Can’t pass a George Clooney photo and not say that 🤪
Hehehehe. 😅
I don't know about that. Can't relate.
Anything that has comedy is worth to watch for me. I think is the first time that I heard about this movie, I know I really like Anna Kendrick's work and that's a big attraction for me.
Thanks for the recommendation, @samostically.
