Hello chess lovers!

I finally resumed teaching chess today. Before I proceed to share some pictures I'd like to state my happiness as regards yesterday's Hivechess tournament organized by @stayoutoftherz. It's been a while since I've enjoyed a tournament as I did with that one. The main reason is that I had all my friends playing at once!

I do alot of work behind the scenes trying to get them to participate and because of their busy schedules I usually have to remind them to play. I know they get notified via lichess however, in most cases, they forget.

@ajumaa played her First event!

I already forgot she plays chess and this was because she has settled into other communities on Hive pretty quickly. Here was how she got to play yesterday.

And she played @rodrook in her first game!

She lost this game with white pieces! I really don't know how she misplayed it or if she knew her opponent was a nice man so she let her time run out completely after blundering,

Today on our way to work, we had @iammanythings1 joking with how he got wildthougts in a difficult position. It was really fun having everyone gist about #Hivechess.

Some couple of months alone, I was alone here!

I hope we finish as high as we can At the end of the league. I have to make sure we dont miss the rounds as they are very crucial in how the standings work. Looking at the current table, only wildthoughts have missed one round. (ajumaa excluded as she just joined)

Below are the pictures from today's class. Bloombreed school is one of the best schools in Port harcourt Nigeria.

I did a small lecture on the chess board and the pieces. It was an introduction class.

I remember learning chess almost the same way. Teaching chess coordinates and introducing chess to kids can be so easy, before I knew it, one hour was up and the class ended.

Not so stressful on the first day returning back to the job. I'd share my experiences from time to time.
