Currently Playing a Local Chess Rapid Tournament
Hello everyone,
It's a bight Saturday morning and I'm currently playing a chess tournament. It's a rapid tournament organized by our local chess club. I'm writing this post as I might not be able to write again today except if I win the tournament of course :)
I'm currently on 2/2 and for the first time in a long while I played the first round. A classic sam always misses the first round due to one reason or the other. Not today, I woke up early and booked a ride, and boom I'm in the tournament venue. And guess what, I got rewarded with a round 1 walkover.
Talking about seeded players, The tournament has just 31 participants and I'm ranked number 8 in the starting position. In my last rapid tournament, I lost 6 points, but I'm still not far from the 2000 mark. Let's sew how the next 5 rounds play out.
So it is evident why I've had fairly easy pairings. Take a look at my second-round game. I played a beautiful lady on board 6. And complimenting her beauty was a beautiful checkmate on the board.
A game that ended in a spectacular finish. While I wait for the next set of games which I know would be tough. I just wanted to complete my daily blogging challenge.
The games are not live, However you can follow the results online.

I’m sure those are some pretty impressive moves on the chess board because I heard a checkmate somewhere and even I know that with no knowledge whatsoever. We shall await results after the tournaments so be sure to update us🙂
