Turning Sketches into Characters! - (Eng & Ger)

Hey! Ich saß gestern im Unterricht und mir war irgendwann sehr langweilig. Ich habe angefangen zu skizzieren und doodlen. Alle die meine Posts schon etwas länger verfolgen, wissen wahrscheinlich das ich es liebe Menschen, Vharaktäre und Gesichter zu zeichnen. Deswegen habe ich auch genau das gemacht. Diesmal wollte ich nicht beim skizzieren aufhören, sondern einen weiteren Schritt machen und die Skizzen digital zuende bringen. Hier ist was dabei raus gekommen ist!

Hey! I was in class yesterday and at some point I got very bored. I started sketching and doodling. Anyone who has been following my posts for a while probably knows that I love drawing people, characters and faces. That's why I did exactly that. This time I didn't want to stop sketching, I wanted to take another step and finish the sketches digitally. Here's what came out of it!

Dieses Mal habe ich ein paar männliche Charaktere gezeichnet, einfach weil ich gemerkt habe, dass ich normalerweise viele weibliche zeichne. Um die Dinge ein wenig aufzupeppen, habe ich sie auch in verschiedenen Winkeln gezeichnet.

This time I drew a few male characters, simply because i noticed that i usually draw a lot of female ones. So to switch things up a bit, I also drew them in different angels.

Ich habe für die Schattierung, verschiedene Pinsel/ Stifte/ Tools benutzt, um auch da mehr Abwechslung reinzubringen.

I used different brushes/pens/tools for the shading to bring in more variety.

Diese letzten beiden sind meine absoluten Favoriten aus dieser Reihe. Der Kontrast zwischen Licht und Schatten ist viel intensiver und lässt alles sehr viel dramatischer wirken.

These last two are my absolute favorites from this series. The contrast between light and shadow is much more intense and makes everything look much more dramatic.

Natürlich gib es noch genug Platz für Verbesserung aber ich muss sagen das ich wirklich viel Spaß daran hatte diese Figuren anzufertigen. Ich hoffe ihr habt enn Einblick genoßen. Danke fürs anschauen und hinterlasst auch gerne euer Feedback!

The processes are not only what impresses, but also the shading, I still don't know how to do shadows like that well. Good work!

Thank you so much!! Its understandable, shading can be difficult, it took me a lot of time to kinda figure it out :)

Yes, I am planing on it! I would love to do it and I will try to include Animation in my projects in the future.

And the fact that my art style is on the realism plane... It'll take me forever to do a simple animation

yeah with that on top, it would definitely take a lot of time. Maybe you could start with something simple and the more you practice, you can kinda step up your game you know?
