Erkenci Kuş - The best Rom-Com Ever!

Watching series of other languages is fun. Frankly, I watch them dubbed in either English or Hindi. But the cultural essence is truly a bless to witness.

I found the best Rom-com ever. Been addicted to it for a month now and I still can watch it multiple times. The name is Erkenci Kuş- A Turkish television series which turned out to be super hit and people overseas are crazy about it and so am I.

A widely awarded and recognised series which has won many hearts was started in 2018 and ended in 2019. But the craze is still fresh. The characterisation is superb

The Plot
The plot revolves around a cheerful, innocent, talented & beautiful girl called Sanem (played by Demet Özdemir) and Handsome, passionate, talented and famous man called Can Divit (played by Can Yaman pronounced as Jaan Yaman). In a really beautiful setting in Turkey, Can Divit is elder son of rich and famous Aziz Divit who runs turkey's top notch advertisement company with his younger son Amre Divit.
Sanem joins the company as an helper as she haven't discovered her writing skills yet. She is portrait as sweet and clumsy. On the very first day which was 40th anniversary party of the company, Sanem bumps into Can in opera's balcony with no lights and Can kissed her assuming her to be his girlfriend polen. Later they both realised they were complete stranger but were fallen for each other unknowing of each other's identity.

That's how the story began.

Since it has 161 episodes and I carry no intentions of throwing in potential spoilers so, Here's a brief summary of the story.

Managing the agency after Can and Amre's father departure to Cuba for his medical treatment was Can's first step into entering the corporate life after leaving his adventurous photographic career. He is potentially intelligent and handsome which lured many ladies towards him but his honest and looking for simplistic nature deviated him towards Sanem who has been manipulated by Amre's wrong intentions against Can.
She was forced to do things against Can Davit and be a spy of the company untill she realised how righteous Can divit is and how he deserved nothing but love & respect.

Sanem got struck badly between Can's brother Amre's secret wrong intentions towards him and the company. Meanwhile Can davit was badly falling in love with Sanem who has no rich and famous status as Can have and she lived in a neighbourhood culture of Turkey in a small cosy house with her parents and a sister called Layla who works with her in same company and manages finance.

Cey-Cey (Pronounced as Jay-Jay and portrait by Anil Çelik) was an office boy along side Sanem and was her best friend too. He being the most funniest character and righteous one always took Sanem's side in every mis happening that followed the story.
As the story escalates, Can divit turned all of wrong intentions of his brother into the right ones through his love. But Due to presence of many villains from time to time, Can and Sanem's relationship took several turmoil.

As the love of Can and Sanem got slowly and steadily accepted by the family and company's employees, Sanem's talent as writer surfaced as she met with several opportunities while working as an helper in the company. She got promoted too. But her love and determination towards Can Divit was exceptional and didn't categorised her as gold digger. Meanwhile her sister Layla and Amre had fallen for each other and got married.

Between many twist and turns, a major twist took place which completely changed the story, setting and characters too. This was like an interval and what's coming next was equally exciting as what already happened. This twist took place in episode 145 when Can and Sanem broke up and the series took a leap of 1 year.
From here on the style and writing took a fresh new turn which was treat to the eyes as both the lead characters were apart but almost every other character was trying to bring them together which was fun to watch

Even after being apart and coming together they met with an accident where Can looses his memory which was like the last leap of series as Sanem and everyone else tried their best to bring it back, what happened at last will be a spoiler and I am not here for it.

My opinion on Script, caste and Direction.
Being a fan of sci-fi and real stories genre It is super hard to please me with any romantic - comedy. I was sick and tired of cliché stories with just different characters. But Erkenci Kuş or Day dreamer/ Early bird in English, Bought a whole new interest and opened a new dimension for entertainment interest for me.

The script was not boring at all, the transition between different character's scene was smooth. Not for a moment I felt that the story was being dragged. The transition story after season 145 was equally interesting considering every scriptwriter was changed including the attire of actors and shooting scenes.

I believe all of this was possible due to superb cast. You know what happens sometimes the movie/ series is so interesting that you forget about your real life and just get lost in the scripted world of that movie/series.

Demit and Can had an exceptional chemistry which is recognised worldwide. Apart from being superb actor they had beautiful chemistry which surfaced on the series. Demit is so talented like you name an emotion and she can display that with perfection. You just feel her pain just by her acting sad.
On the other hand, Can Yaman is the one which honestly kept me watching these series on repeat. LOL!
He is lawyer and actor along with his multiple talents in sports field. He is exceptionally handsome and talented which won him several awards on international platforms.

The rest of the cast was equally responsible for the hit show as their talent as actors are fantastic. The director Çağrı Bayrak did his best and even staid in an interview that this series is his lifetime best performance.

I would rate this series a 10 on10.
