EOS Audit Blue Paper Review
Hello Hive Community
Today i'm discussing about the EOS blue paper. I will honestly talk about it...maybe you will agree in some points and naybe not agree with me in some points. So it's totally my personal opinion. At first i want to say I'm grateful to be a member of ChallengeDac community. ChallengeDac is a EOS blockchain based application. My CHL username: @sadikulaziza.
With great curiosity i learn about the EOS platform and it's great vision. The new blue paper comes with lot of great idea. According to the blue paper i found some great initiatives that could improve the Eos ecosystem.
At present there is no service available to verify the current smart contracts code. So establish a contract source code verification will make it easy for the community to verify the security of the smart contract for the users, applications, wallet and exchanges. DAO smart contract could be beneficial for the developers and helps to grow the ecosystem.
Scam, hacking, money laundering are very common problem at current time. So anti money laundering system that collect data from various sources including from the dark web. This idea can help the community to protect the funds by freezing illegal funds stolen by hackers/scammers. It's a great initiative but less decentralization. Overall it's a security for the community.
A bug bounty programme can attract the ethical hacker communities. So a bug bounty programme could be beneficial for the Eos platform to analyze the EOSIO code base and improve the security, get new security experts.
A automated security auditing tools always allow the developers to access the basic security to their smart contracts. So open source tool could be game changing idea to attract new talented developers.
Some solutions already existed in the community but lot of solutions that are demanded by the community. Klevoya Inspect is a tool that allows developers to upload their compliled WASM code. Scaning engine that detects vulnerabilities in WASM code based on in house designed patterns. But this feature is paid for service. EOSIO provides an eos.io contacts ware house which contains bios, system, msig, wrap and token contacts.
EOSIO software developers demands to create more secure smart contracts. Dapp owners always demand huge userbase and secure smart contracts facilities. So this kind of initiative could be very positive for the ecosystem. Just the team need to work on it properly.
EOSIO also work on a new idea that has started to take fruition on Ethereum. Ethereum a github REPO exists that is trying to list all the current smart contracts given their chain, addresses and the associated project they belong to. The goal is to be able to provide information about an address when a user is interacting with it as well as tracking security contact information for known projects in the event that a vulnerability is found in a given contact address. The list of Eth Evm chains currently supported are: 1. Ethereum Mainnet 2. Optimistic Ethereum 3. Binance Smartchain 4. XDai 5. Fuse 6. Polygon 7. Fantom Opera 8. Arbitrum
Like ETH, EOSIO has become multichain so in the event of vulnerability a standard way to communicate to all other chains need to be in place, as such once the vulnerability is made public hackers couldn't leverage to attack any other EOSIO chain.
Launchpad covers the minimum requirements to produce value for the network. Enhancing onboarding through partnership, events etc can easily make the community more powerful. Improving speed and scale of EOSIO can attract millions of new users.
The new idea of the blue paper can change the game if they team fulfill it properly. Once Eos was top ten crypto coin. But it lost the popularity in the competitive market. But i think, if the community work according to the blue paper then again Eos will back to it's original position and could be a real Eth alternative. I believe Eos has huge potential...the community still very strong and lot of dapps are growing especially ChallengeDac is doing great performance. We can see the real use cases of Eos on the ChallengeDac application. CHL community need lot of support to grow faster and become the leading web3 dapps. ChallengeDac success means the growth of Eos ecosystem.
