Easy orange cookie recipe
Ruthie got her hands dirty in the kitchen once again. This time she made something sweet for those sugar cravings that you get during the day, but you want to skip the store bought, full of preservatives and other stuff snacks. So she made orange cookies!!
The recipe? Easy, as long as you can remember the number ONE rule, all ingredients in one!
Look:
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of olive or vegetable oil
- 1 cup of orange juice 🥤
- zest from 1 orange 🍊
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 2 vanillas
- all purpose flour about 800 gr
Mix the orange juice with the soda and add it in a bowl with the oil and sugar. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved and then start adding the rest of the ingredients. Go easy with the flour as you may need a little less or a little more. You need a nice, soft dough that doesn't stick. The good thing about this dough is that it doesn't need to rest, you save time this way. Once ready, start giving shapes to your cookies, I made little braids. Then, bake at a preheated oven at 180°C for half an hour more or less and your cookies are ready!!
At first they are soft, but as they get colder they start to harden a bit. They are perfect for a snack and know how to keep good company to your cocoa, milk or coffee. ☕
Enjoy!!

Looks like an easy recipe to try at home.
Easy and not too unhealthy :P
Simple but nice. I like the way you twisted them up, nice touch
Oh, twisted cookies are very common here...
This looks very nice.
Also, the design shows that you are creative. I will try it but I cannot make this design. It looks complicated to me. Hahaha
Naah, it's really easy. Just watch this guy here
