We are very excited to present our great educational project: Hive goes to School.
We are happy to finish the first week of the project, where we gave 11 talks to more than 270 high school students. This project aims to raise awareness of the opportunities in Web3.
These first 11 talks, out of a total of 40 that are planned, were given at the: Escuela Técnica Industrial San José Obrero. This school is located in Antímano (Caracas) and is part of the Fe y Alegría chain of schools.
It is an institution located in a humble area and provides education to low-income youth. The information we gave them could change their lives.
Project
Give 40 talks about Web3 and Hive, in schools in Caracas, for students in the last years of high school.
This project is funded by @valueplan with a budget of 2,787,540 para:

Objective
The main objective is to make Web3 known, from its origin to its professional opportunities. With these talks we expand the ideas of professional projection, for many students who are at the age of deciding what to study in college and in what area they want to develop.
With these talks, a world of possibilities for growth is opening up to many young people. In this first week we have already seen the impact that discovering this information has had on them.
Content
We started the talk explaining the origin of the term "Web3" and the differences between Web1, Web2 and Web3. We also mentioned the evolution of the Internet and how it is changing what they know about it. Also that their generation will be the one that will live Web3 the most.
After that introduction, we started with the specific areas:

- Metaverse
- Decentralized Social Media
The most important points we highlight as characteristics of Web3 are:
- Digital ownership
- Decentralization

Hive as the friendliest gateway to the Web3
Something to highlight is that Hive is the blockchain protagonist, because of its ease for anyone to join Web3. In Hive you can participate for free and start learning all the benefits of this new technology, unlike other blockchain that require capital investment.

Professionals for Web3
One of the problems we get from teachers, is that students are not very clear about what to study. They know few options and high school educational programs are not linked to the reality on the street.
We have to say that we are very impressed, since this school seeks to change that, offering its students the opportunity to learn technical subjects such as mechanics, electronics, etc; in its wonderful workshops.
Thanks to our talks; the students have more breadth, about areas that can be very interesting for them. That's why the main focus of this project is to give them information on how Web3 is full of opportunities for them.

We emphasize that it is the most demanded career at the moment and with more opportunities, not only to get a job, but also to be creators of projects.NFT Manager
This is a new profession that is emerging at the moment. These are the people who are in charge of creating NFT collections for companies, NGOs and large communities. Also those who design projects with new applications for NFTs.Artists
Many of the students have drawing skills. The demand for digital illustrators is growing, due to NFTs. Many companies are looking for people to design their tokenized artwork.Graphic Designers
Due to the large number of new projects on the Web3, the demand for designers has increased. From web design, corporate image, to token design; designers are sought after.Translators
To translate whitepapers, web pages, even for the moderation of the communities in the Discord of Web3 projects, we are looking for bilingual people. We emphasize that they must learn English.Community Manager
All Web3 projects need to be on Web2. Traditional social networks still have most of the users and that is where they will do the adoption work. Web3 companies are looking for community managers to manage their accounts, especially on Twitter.Content Creators
In addition to creating content on Hive, which helps you professionalize; it is also useful to create content on Web2 social networks, as many companies will look for them to promote their projects. Becoming a content creator that talks about Web3 is a great opportunity right now, as you will be part of the very small group that is doing it. In a few years they will be influencers, like the ones they look up to today.Marketers
All these companies and projects need good marketing strategies that are created by these professionals. There is a good demand for this profession.Mathematicians
Mathematics is indispensable in crypto projects. Who designs the tokenomics of a project is a mathematician. A blockchain mathematician is a highly sought after and valued professional.
Interesting facts
100% of students have not heard the term "Web3" or "internet 3.0". Neither 1 nor 2 either 😅
99% have not heard "blockchain."
More than 70% have heard "bitcoin" and "cryptocurrencies".
Of bitcoin they know it is a digital currency, nothing more.
Less than 20% have heard "NFT"
One student said that NFTs are images that are bought to sell expensive. This caught our attention a lot, observing the way many know this world, from news about speculation. We clarified that the value is in what this technology brings as solutions. We warned that speculation can harm the projects and the people who invest. It caused us to reflect deeply on the importance of our talks and the great responsibility we have to bring this information for the first time.
The school asked us to give a special talk for the teachers, who were unable to attend, as the students told them how interesting it was.
It generated interest in computer science. Unfortunately the school does not have a laboratory equipped to teach the subject. Most of the students do not have PCs, while they do have smart phones.
The school principal was very pleased with our work and recommended us to two neighboring schools to give the next talks. We are also generating ideas for integrating the school into Hive and beyond.
The benefits of this project are endless. After just one week we are already seeing enormous potential. With each talk, each intervention of the students, each meeting with teachers, the ideas for generating new projects are expanding.

Projection
Although we had some inconveniences at the beginning, since the Ministry of Education sent a communiqué to the schools to finish classes earlier. For this reason three schools suspended the activity until October.
We hope to complete the 40 talks before the end of classes. If not, they will continue in October at the beginning of the next school year. Then we will present a new project for many more schools.
This week we will work to send this information to the media and get media exposure.

Estamos muy emocionados de presentar nuestro gran proyecto educativo: Hive va a la Escuela.
Felices de culminar la primera semana del proyecto, donde dimos 11 charlas a más de 270 estudiantes de bachillerato. Este proyecto tiene como objetivo, dar a conocer las oportunidades en la Web3.

Objetivo
El objetivo principal es dar a conocer la Web3, desde su origen hasta sus oportunidades profesionales. Con estas charlas se expanden las ideas de proyección profesional, para muchos estudiantes que están en edad de decidir, qué estudiar en la universidad y en qué área quieren desarrollarse.
Con estas charlas, se les está abriendo un mundo de posibilidades de crecimiento, a muchísimos jóvenes. En esta primera semana ya hemos visto el impacto que les causa, descubrir esta información.
Contenido
Comenzamos la charla explicando el origen de término "Web3" y las diferencias entre Web1, Web2 y Web3. También mencionamos la evolución del internet y cómo está cambiando lo que conocen de esto. Además que su generación será la que más viva la Web3.
Después de esa introducción, comenzamos con las áreas concretas:

Profesionales para la Web3
Uno de los problemas que nos plantean los profesores, es que los estudiantes no tienen muy claro qué estudiar. Conocen pocas opciones y los programas educativos de bachillerato no están vinculados a la realidad que se vive en la calle.
Tenemos que decir que estamos muy impresionados, ya que este colegio busca cambiar eso, ofreciendo a sus alumnos la oportunidad de aprender materias técnicas como mecánica, electrónica, etc; en sus maravillosos talleres.
Gracias a nuestras charlas; los estudiantes tienen más amplitud, sobre áreas que pueden ser muy interesantes para ellos. Es por eso que el enfoque principal de este proyecto, es brindarles la información de cómo la Web3 está llena de oportunidades para ellos.

Desarrolladores/Programadores
Hacemos hincapié en que es la carrera más demandada en este momento y con más oportunidades, no solo para conseguir empleo, sino para ser creadores de proyectos.NFT Manager
Esta es una nueva profesión que está naciendo en este momento. Son las personas que se encargan de crear colecciones NFT para empresas, ONGs y grandes comunidades. También quienes diseñan proyectos con nuevas aplicaciones para los NFT.Artistas
Muchos de los estudiantes tienen habilidades en el dibujo. La demanda de ilustradores digitales está creciendo, debido a los NFT. Muchas empresas están buscando quién les diseñe sus artes tokenizados.Diseñadores Gráficos
Debido a la gran cantidad de nuevos proyectos en la Web3, la demanda de diseñadores ha aumentado. Desde el diseño de la web, imagen corporativa, hasta para el diseño de tokens; se buscan a los diseñadores.Traductores
Para traducir los whitepapers, páginas web, incluso para la moderación de las comunidades en los Discord de los poryectos de Web3, se buscan personas bilingües. Hacemos hincapié en que aprendan inglés sí o sí.Community Manager
Todos los proyectos Web3, necesitan estar en la Web2. Todavía las redes sociales tradicionales tienen a la mayoría de los usuarios y es ahí donde harán el trabajo de adopción. La empresas de Web3 buscan a los community manager para llevarles sus cuentas, sobre todo en Twitter.Creadores de Contenido
Además de crear contenido en Hive, que te ayuda a la profesionalización; también es útil crear contenido en redes sociales de la Web2, ya que muchas empresas los buscarán para que promocionen sus proyectos. Convertirse en creador de contenido que hable de Web3, es una gran oportunidad en este momento, ya que serán parte del grupo muy reducido que lo está haciendo. En unos años serán influencers, como los que admiran hoy en día.Marketers
Todas estas empresas y proyectos necesitan buenas estrategias de marketing que se las crean estos profesionales. Hay una buena demanda para esta profesión.Matemáticos
Las matemáticas son impresindibles en los proyectos cripto. Quién diseña la tokenómica de un proyecto es un matemático. Un matemático blockchain, es un profesional muy buscado y valorado.
Datos interesantes
El 100% de los estudiantes no ha escuchado el término "Web3" ni "internet 3.0". Tampoco el 1 ni el 2 😅

De bitcoin saben que es una moneda digital, nada más.
Menos del 20% han escuchado "NFT"
Un alumno dijo que los NFT son imágenes que se compran para venderlas caras. Esto nos llamó mucho la atención, observando la forma en que muchos conocen este mundo, desde noticias sobre especulación. Aclaramos que el valor está, en lo que esta tecnología aporta como soluciones. Advertimos que la especulación puede perjudicar a los proyectos y a las personas que invierten. Nos causó una profunda reflexión de lo importante de nuestras charlas y la gran responsabilidad que tenemos llevando esta información por primera vez.
El colegio nos pidió una charla especial para los profesores, que no pudieron asistir, ya que los alumnos les comentaron lo interesante de la misma.
Se generó interés en la informática. Lamentablemente el colegio no tiene laboratorio equipado para dar la materia. La gran mayoría de los estudiantes no poseen PC, mientras que sí smart phone.
El director del colegio quedó muy complacido con nuestro trabajo y nos recomendó a dos colegios vecinos, para que demos las próximas charlas. Además estamos generando ideas para integrar al colegio en Hive y a los siguientes.
Los beneficios de este proyectos son infinitos. Con una sola semana ya estamos viendo un enorme potencial. Con cada charla, cada intervención de los estudiantes, cada reunión con profesores, se amplían las ideas para la generación de nuevos proyectos.

Aunque tuvimos algunos inconvenientes al comienzo, ya que el Ministerio de Educación envió un comunicado a los colegios para que finalicen antes las clases. Por este motivo tres colegios suspendieron la actividad hasta octubre.
Esperamos cumplir con las 40 charlas antes que finalicen clases. De no hacerlo seguirán en octubre al comienzo del próximo año escolar. Después presentaremos un nuevo proyecto para muchos más colegios.
Esta semana vamos a trabajar para enviar esta información a los medios de comunicación y obtener exposición mediática.

It is certainly a lot of work. Repeating the same talk over and over again can be exhausting. However, it is very rewarding.

Wow mis respetos para lograr esas ponencias a los chamos de la escuela secundaria. Es increíble que la mayoría de jóvenes no hayan escuchado la palabra Web3 a estas alturas dónde ya quieren saltar a la web 5 jajajaja, creo que ha sido un trabajo increíble porque es mostrarles toda una proyección tecnologíca innovadora.
Ciertamente Hive es la puerta más amigable para la web3, tanto por sus diferentes interfaces cómo por su comunidad.
La precariedad de la educación venezolana tiene muchos límite a la hora de ofrecer una experiencia completa de educación, ya que por ejemplo al no contar con laboratorio de computación, es muy cuesta arriba. Abordar los principios de la informatica y computación.

Excelente proyecto me encanta, apoyar a los estudiantes a conocer lo que demanda la realidad ; y eso es la web 3.0. soy docente de informática, pero trabajo a nivel de básica. Espero este proyecto se pueda extender a más regiones. En mi localidad hay varios laboratorios de computación que puedan servir para charlas.
