¡Hola Hivers!, espero que estén muy bien. Hace tiempo que le vengo comentando que estamos haciendo catas cerradas de rones para turistas, pero no le habíamos comentado que también la hicimos para el público en general, es decir, catas abiertas al público.

Esta vez no quisimos hacer una sola marca de ron como veníamos haciendo anteriormente, sino que mostramos los rones de venezolanos, es decir, distintas casas roneras con sus mejores rones y explicar su elaboración, luego la manera en que se cata y con que sería mejor acompañar.

Los rones Venezolanos que conocimos en las catas fueron:

1. Ron calazan 4 años.
2. Ron Diplomático planas de 47⁰ de alcohol.
3. Solera Santa Teresa 1796 edición limitada.
4. Carúpano 21.

Todos estos rones tiene su Denominación de Origen Controlado ( D.O.C). Es solo una muestra de muchas marcas que hay en el mercado. La finalidad es que que conozcan todos los que hay, por eso tendremos más ediciones.

Para mi alegría estaba degustando, por primera vez, una edición limitada del ron triple añejamiento en Soltera 1796 de Santa Teresa. Esta edición es especial porque el ron estuvo un añejamiento finalizado de trece meses (13) en barrica de whisky, específicamente de la región de Speyside, Escocia.

Todo estuvo muy lindo, los participantes estuvieron participativos, algo que nos encanta en la cata y terminamos un poco más tarde de lo pautado, pero todos se fueron contentos y con ganas de más.

Cada día me encanta ver a mi esposo hacer lo que hace y feliz de estar allí trabajando con él codo a codo.

This time we did not want to do a single brand of rum as we had been doing before, but we showed the Venezuelan rums, that is, different rum houses with their best rums and explain their elaboration, then the way they are tasted and with what would be best to accompany them.

The Venezuelan rums we met at the tastings were:

To my delight I was tasting, for the first time, a limited edition of Santa Teresa's Soltera 1796 triple aged rum. This edition is special because the rum was aged for a final thirteen months (13) in whisky casks, specifically from the Speyside region of Scotland.

Everything was very nice, the participants were very participative, something we love in the tasting and we finished a little later than planned, but everyone left happy and wanting more.

Every day I love to see my husband doing what he does and happy to be there working with him side by side.
