El comienzo de un sueño / The beginning of a dream

¡Hola Hivers!, espero que estén muy bien. Saben que de niño siempre soñado con ser muchas cosas cuando seamos adultos, desde médicos, ingenieros, bomberos hasta viajar por el espacio y esos sueños van cambiando, pero no pasa con mi hijo y me alegra.

¡Quiero ser chefs! Lo dijo a los 3 años y yo me lo tomé con ternura y le respondí que estaba bien, que yo lo apoyaría en lo que él quisiera. Pero no quedo aquí y cuando me veía en la oficina hacía intentos de ayudarme en la cocina y lo dejaba.

Empezamos con tareas simples como echar mantequilla al pan, guardar las cosas en la nevera y así, hasta el sol de hoy con 11 años mi hijo cocina, conoce de sabores, olores, especias y demás.

Con padres que se mueven en el mundo de los bares y restaurante, mi hijo ha entrado a muchas cocinas, ja visto el movimiento, ha cocido chefs y ha visitado academias.

Lo que jamás había hecho era probarse una Filipina, hasta hace dos días. Teníamos unas filipinas en la casa que debíamos llevar a la academia de cocina en mi Ciudad y entre ellas había una talla 16 infantiles, así que decidimos probársela y mayor felicidad.

Ese niño se le aguaron los ojos y se veía en el esposo mil veces, estaba muy emocionada. Yo me emocioné también y no se lo dije, pero internamente me juré hacer más de lo que hago con tal de cumplirle su sueño.

I want to be a chef! He said it when he was 3 years old and I took it tenderly and replied that it was ok, that I would support him in whatever he wanted. But it didn't stop there and when he would see me in the office he would make attempts to help me in the kitchen and I would leave him.

We started with simple tasks like buttering bread, putting things away in the fridge and so on, until today at the age of 11 my son cooks, he knows flavors, smells, spices and so on.

With parents who move in the world of bars and restaurants, my son has entered many kitchens, has seen the movement, has cooked chefs and has visited academies.

What he had never done was try on a Filipina, until two days ago. We had some Filipinas at home that we had to take to the cooking academy in my city and among them there was a size 16 for children, so we decided to try it on and we were so happy.

That child's eyes watered and she looked at her husband a thousand times, she was very excited. I got excited too and did not tell her, but internally I vowed to do more than what I do in order to fulfill her dream.
