[WE-173] Weekend Means Rest Day or Bonding Time, or It Could Be Both: A Memorable Weekend With My Oldies

I have a lot of memorable weekends with my oldies because for us, weekends are rest days. That is why we take that time sometimes to close the store and have some relaxation time somewhere. It could be just in the house, in Bulbugan at Aunt Velyn House, or maybe in Calapan, which is the capital of Mindoro. This one takes almost three hours to get there, so it rarely happens.

But our go-to place whenever we want to take a breather is in Aunt Velyn's house, the nearest one. It is actually not that far from where we reside. Just one ride, and we can reach there in a minute. We often visited Aunt Velyn before, but not now. With the inflation, even the fare to get there is so expensive, so we'd rather stay at home and do our relaxation there, it's free, and we will never get tired of traveling either.

Anyhow, out of our weekend escapade, this one is the most memorable one because I got the chance to enjoy Greenwich Pizza with my oldies. What's with that Greenwich Pizza? Well, aside from its name, this one made a very delicious and flavorful pizza. Although the price is also good, ehe, it is really expensive, lol, but it is all worth it because it is one big pizza.

Let's start with a beautiful photo of my mommy D and mommy F.

It was June 9, 2019, Sunday, and we woke up early because we wanted to arrive early at our destination. This is really just what we always do, if we have to go to Calapan, we will wake up as early as 4 a.m. for the preparation, and at 6 a.m., we are already on our way, and then we will arrive at 8:45 or 9 a.m. in Calapan. And our first destination would be Xentro Mall. But on this trip, we arrive in Calapan at 8 a.m. That's because we started traveling at 5:30 a.m., aside from that, the driver's driving was a little bit fast.

Anyhow, our sole purpose for our visit to Calapan that day was purely for leisure. That is why our first destination was Xentro Mall. We really just wanted to unwind through this while enjoying the air conditioning inside the mall, lol. We can still do two time a year because the fare is not that expensive before, it's only $2.12 per head, and there's a discount for seniors too.

And of course, the first thing we did here was to take a selfie with us three. Gosh, I love our complexion here, especially Mommy D, she also looks a little chubby here compared to now. Due to her allergy, she has to limit her food intake, especially since almost all the food she takes is bad for her allergy. And that's the reason she lost so much weight. Thankfully, she's okay now, though she's facing another problem again. But, I think, that's what really happens once you age. But anyway, I hope we get the chance to do this again soon.

Now, for the exciting part, we are craving ice cream, which is why they bought that small tub of ice cream. I didn't have the plan to eat at that time, that's why they bought only one, they planned to share in that one tub, but then seeing them eat so much gusto made me feel hungry too. That's why I got a spoon and tried one big scoop of it. And damn, it's really good. It's sad that I couldn't eat more of it that time, I'm still afraid to eat sweets and cold food that time because of my nose. And easily get a sore throat too, that is why. But look at my oldies smile here, they are so happy.

And by the way, we are eating this ice cream inside Greenwich, we are just waiting for our pizza at that time, and there you have it. Look at those toppings. The trip to Calapan is all worth it because of this delicious pizza. I'm not sure what flavor this is, but I tell you, this is really different from the cheap pizza we had before. Nothing can beat this one, for me. I only tasted a few of them, but if I have to choose, this is really the best! I ate a lot of this at that time. And it is big, so we couldn't eat it all. So we got a take home, hehe.

After the food trip in Greenwich, we went straight to the supermarket inside the mall, where we bought some necessities. We stayed there longer as we took our time looking around. But that's not all of it, we also walk around the mall while enjoying the view of everything. We just enjoyed that day, and we really had fun, even though it was also tiring to walk around. But what's important is the change in surroundings. With this sweet escape from our boring and in repeat day, we're able to have a breather in a different place.

These are the things we bought. We're about to go home at that time, and we just took this last photo. I didn't know that this would really be the last time we visited Xentro Mall in Calapan. It's been years already, maybe one day I'll bring my oldies here again just to unwind and have our fun time too.
