Let's Have a Short Walk in our Little Backyard

Hello, beautiful Hivers! Happy Weekend I bet everyone is having the best day of their lives now because why not? It's Saturday. No work. No nothing. As in, you are free to roam around the house, visit the garden, have a short walk in the neighborhood, or anything that you want to do at the weekend.

As for me, well, I always have free time. I am blogging on two different blogging sites, so I really have time to do what I want. But, even if like that, I still spend most of my time with my smartphone, and it's really not good. Every day, from 6 a.m. to whatever time I sleep, I will count the hours I spend using and gazing at my smartphone.

Sometimes I sleep at 9 p.m. or 10. So from 6 AM to 10 PM, that is like 16 hours. OMG. But of course, I still take a break from time to time. A little break for me is enough. I also take a short nap in the afternoon. So I think I'm still good. But because I am too focused on my everyday hustle, I already forgot to take a short walk in our own yard.

It's been ages since I last had a walk and roamed around there. We have this backyard that is full of plants and trees. Though it is not that big, I still see a lot in there, from plants, trees, and even the fruits from the trees and those unfamiliar plants to me. In fact, I saw four ripe guava fruits on our tree. I want to eat, but I'm still full at that time.

I still remember this Santan. It used to bear a lot of flowers, but now you can rarely see a flower on it. I'm not sure why though. Or maybe this is not the right time for it to bloom. It was filled with red Santan flowers before, and you will really love watching it. I used to take a lot of pictures of it, but now because of busyness, I don't even have time to look at it.

IMG20220903131214.jpg

And while looking at the Santan Flower, just to look for the right angle. I saw this little chick wandering around. Meet Isko, the only chick that I can hold. And seriously, Isko is very clingy to my mother, so whenever he sees Mom move from her bed, he will follow her around like a little kid, lol. To be honest, he is really cute.

I continued looking at the Santan and then I found this. A little spider with its cobweb. They are enjoying it so much it feels like they are sunbathing, lol. I am not sure if this is enough to kill the plants, but I think this is not enough, right? We're just leaving them there to spin their web.

By the way, Mama said that it was an orange tree. I mean, I am not sure what to believe. But it has a lot of thorns on its branches, so what do you think? It's been a year already, but it's still not sprouting. Maybe it is just a wild tree or whatever. She doesn't want to cut it, so there it is. It is still standing-and it is now taller than me. Lol.

You can really see a lot of these plants in our backyard. And, although I am too shy to admit it, I have no idea what its name is. Maybe you all know what it is? They can just sprout everywhere here. When Mama still has a lot of dogs, they will all play in there and that will result in the death of those plants, lol. But now that we don't have puppies, they revert to their old ways. They are scattered everywhere.

Hello there, ripe guava, hihi. I didn't pick them even if they were already ripe. I just don't feel like eating it at that time as I am still full from my lunch.

And we are with nature, if only it's not too hot here. I could put a swing here and spend my time in the backyard. The wind is also good, which is why it is really a perfect place to stay.

Our house is so close to the river that when it rains too much it will overflow, and it's not a good sight to behold. My mom's house is always the one that is affected. But if it's in normal weather, it is beautiful because of those trees.

This is what it looks like on the other side of our place. The other day, Mom paid for a worker who would remove the little storage house for her old tools from her old bakery. This little storage house got affected by the typhoon before, and a very big tree fell into the roof. And after clearing all the roofs, this is what it looks like now.

I also have some old things in this storage house. Even those were affected, and when I checked, I found my I.D. from Elementary Days on the ground in this condition. So sad that I failed to protect it. I had forgotten that I still had those items in that storage house.

And this is how my little walk in the backyard ended. Even in the scorching heat of the sun, I still enjoy it because I get to see these beauties again in our backyard. But I'm not sure when it will happen again. I also hope you enjoy the view that I share here.
