Early Stroll on the Street with Mama: Clumsy Accident, Broken Kettle, and Our Fun Adventure of Searching for a Stainless Kettle

I got into a little accident this morning, and it really annoys me because, aside from the water I boiled being wasted, I also had to clean the mess I accidentally created. I didn't feel any pain when the hot water splashed on my feet because of my annoyance that time. Lol. What happened was, I was about to transfer the hot water from the kettle into the thermos when I felt the heat coming from the handle of our kettle even though I'm using a pot holder.

The pot holder is so thin that the heat penetrated it, and my hand reacted to it immediately, and I felt like I had to let it go, and so I did. The kettle fell right on my feet, and all the water splashed in it. It's a good thing that I changed my slipper before coming out of my room, and I wore my slipper with a cover. It saves my whole feet from getting burned from that newly boiled water. I am thankful that nothing serious happened, but it still annoys me. Aigoooo.

Another thing is, we now have to let go of this 15-year-old kettle of ours because when it falls, it leaves a hole in it, so when I try to put water in it, it is already leaking. And because I am the one who destroyed it, I feel like it is also my obligation to replace it. Which I think is just right, no? ( ꈍᴗꈍ).

And so early in the morning I asked Mama to accompany me to the Pick Up Shop to check if they have a good quality kettle in there. It's 8:20, but look how hot it is already. Aigoooo. I feel like we're being roasted here.

We arrived at pick up shop and I headed first to where their kitchen wares are. There's not much people inside yet, which is in favor of us. At least we can roam around freely in there, the whole shop is ours to explore. Lol.

So anyways, here are the kettles available in here. They are the modern style, I think. I really prefer the old style, like that broken kettle of ours, but I couldn't find a similar design here. The only difference these kettles have is their sizes.

Look at this ridiculously big kettle on top it is really just - haha HUGE.

And I think this is just too thin, look at that. When I tried holding it to check the weight, it was too lightweight. I feel like this won't last us even a month. Especially we use it every day. Another thing is its handle, this kind of handle doesn't really last long either.

Seeing how not so good the quality of their kettle was, I decided not to buy it. Instead, we checked the slippers and even tried some on. Mama likes the black slipper, but she doesn't like the color. As for me, I like the white one, but my slippers are still wearable, so it's a hard pass for me. Lol.

We then went to the market to check a kettle in there, they have good quality kettles, but I feel like it is overpriced. It's not even that big, but I really like that it is heavier.

We also check the shop next to the other one, but they only have the bigger ones. In the end we're not able to buy anything because I am toooooooo choosy, lol.

I decided to just check online, I found one, but I hope my decision not to get the expensive one won't backfire later haha.
