Accompanying Mom in the Neighboring Barangay, Conducting a Medical Mission: A Quick Trip and Mom's Successful Tooth Extraction

We had another little trip last week, I'm with Mommy F this time. It's just in the next barangay, still in the town of Bansud. Mom heard that there's a medical mission that was scheduled to happen in Pag-Asa Bansud. Mom wanted to grab the opportunity, as she's been complaining about her teeth for a very long time now. She can't just do it before because I had my operation then. And then last week, she had the change to finally have her tooth extracted, thanks to this medical mission and to the person who informed her about it.

There's two main things on that medical mission, one is for dental care, and the other is a general checkup. According to the people who initiated this, they did this for those people who seek medical attention but can't do so because of financial problems. Even Mom choose to take the opportunity because getting your tooth extracted is really expensive, even just for one tooth. I like that they have this initiative, even though they only get active because the election is near, ehermmm ( ꈍᴗꈍ).

This is the person who informed Mom about the said medical mission. She's wearing a red polo shirt. She's our neighbor, Mom became friends with her because she's our regular, doing GCash transactions with Mom. I already shared her food store on Hive before their opening. Which is just beside our home. And this is the time that we're waiting for a transportation vehicle. ┏(^0^)┛

After three minutes of travel, we arrived at our destination, which is in a covered court in Pag-asa. It's huge and can accommodate a lot of people. And by the way, there's a limit number for those who want their teeth extracted. I heard the number should be just 70 people. Mom was number 57.

There's also a small daycare center here, I didn't know that. There's a lot of kids attending in here too. And that's mom. She had her blood pressure checked too, because that's really important. If it's too high, for sure they have to wait for it to lower.

I like that this place is surrounded with nature and tall trees. Even without the big fan, with how strong and cold the wind was at that time, we could survive the heat. That's why I just stayed standing on one corner on the court. It's better to wait for Mom in there.

And thanks to the peaceful view here, I was able to overcome the boredom I felt while waiting. We stayed here for almost 5 hours. I was so hungry because it's already 12 in the afternoon. But they gave us biscuits, and there's a jar of water too. But it's not enough. Then it's finally Mom's turn.

Mom was on number 57, and look at those people who's waiting with us. That's why it took a lot of time. There's really just a lot who need dental care that they also grab this opportunity. On the other hand, I am a little bit anxious because Mom is already old, 70 years old. And her blood pressure is 140/90. But Mom said she's strong and she can do it. So instead of feeling anxious, I just supported her too.

When it's finally Mom's turn, I was just watching outside as they checked on Mom. Mom complained to me that she got a 7 injection. And her teeth cracked while being extracted, she can feel it according to her. But thank heaven the tooth extraction was a success. Mom received a free medicine too, after that, we immediately went home. Ahhh, what a day!

Not often, usually three to five times in a year.
Good to hear that your mom is doing fine now.
