THE SURPRISE OUTING

The previous day was a wonderful day for me as I had so much fun with my friends. I and my Dear friend @sapphirekay planned to surprise a friend on her birthday which was yesterday. I did not plan on travelling to Port-Harcourt yesterday, but for the sake of this friend of mine I decided to. I told my friend not to inform her that I was going to come. But she should just tell her to prepare that she was going to take her out.

MY TRAVELLING EXPERIENCE

I left home at exactly 6:00 AM, hoping to get to my destination in 3 hours. But unfortunately for me, I spent about an hour at the bus station waiting for a taxi that would take me to where I will take a bus or taxi to Port-Harcourt, but the taxi did not come on time. And after an hour of waiting, it finally came.

Another crazy thing was that the taxi driver had to use a longer route because the shorter one was kind of very bad for vehicles. Then I finally got to where I would take a taxi to Port-Harcourt, I got in and we moved. I got to my destination at exactly 9:20 AM.

Then I called @sapphirekay for further directions to where I will be lodged. We got to the first Hotel, unfortunately, I disliked the rooms that were offered. To me, the rooms were undervalued compared to the price that was given ($12.39). Where I came from, such rooms were supposed to be $5.78 and not $12.39. So we decided to check out other ones. And then we finally got one which was a little better compared to the previous, even though it wasn't up to my taste.

THEN THE OUTING

It was exactly 4:40 PM, And the unexpected that would have spoilt or stopped our surprise outing wanted to happen. Dark clouds started forming and then the rain fell a little and stopped. We thought if the rain continued to fall, it would have been so sad for us and we wouldn't have been able to go out again.

I was at the Port-Harcourt mall a little earlier before them, so she won't see me. It was not just to surprise her on her birthday by taking her out. This is someone that has been longing to see me ever before now so, it would be so awesome for her to see me for the first time. We have been good friends online for some months now. And ever since I got to know her, she's been amazing!

And Bravo! Here they come, she was shocked and amazed when she saw me. I could see that look on her face. She never expected it.

THE FOOD AND DRINKS

We ordered some food and Ice cream. They got shawarma while I as a man 😃 I went for some delicious jollof rice.

While we were sitting, she sat close to me, and I didn't want to be so quiet, so I started a conversation with her. Asking to know a little about her and what she does. I got to know that she is a Makeup Artist studying Sociology at the University of Port-Harcourt. She appeared to be a quiet one. I don't know if that was really how she was everytime.

It was a wonderful outing as we had so much fun nd I was glad they did appreciate the little effort.
