MCGI MASS INDOCTRINATION, DAY SIX | MAY 23, 2022

I thank God for another opportunity He gave us to continue our studies of the Doctrines of Christ. I am so blessed and grateful.

We continue our study on Prayer the previous day and it was a wonderful time indeed.

THE IMPORTANT POINTS I LEARNED ARE;

• The confessions of sins is not unto a Priest, but unto God. And if we sin against a Brother or Sister, we can go and confess to them, and they will pray for the offender.

• In 1 John 5:16, there are two kinds of sin in the Bible, they are mortal sin and immortal sin. Which are also sin unto death and sin that are not unto death.

• We are to pray for a brother that sin a sin that is not unto death and his sin can be forgiven. But the sin unto death cannot be forgiven.

• In James 5:16, When we see a brother sinning, we are not to spread rumours around, but rather pray for such fellow. This is a very wonderful spirit of love if we pray for one another.

• In the church, we are called to love and do not hate our Brethren. We should pray for one another. Love is a remedy, it covers a multitude of sins.

In Proverbs 24:9, To think foolishly is a sin already.

• In Psalms 32:5, Confession is first to God and then next to the person you sin against. From the scripture above, it is clear that confession is first to God.

• If we obey God he will answer us even before we pray. So there is no need for us to repeat our requests or prayers when we pray to God.

THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD

God has a household in heaven and also here on earth.

• In 1 Timothy 3:15, the household of God on earth is the church of God.
• In Acts 17:24, God does not live in temples made with hands, He lives in our hearts. We are the temple God dwells in.

The church is a place of prayer. It is called the House of prayer

The Members, Church of God International have a prayer chain going on 24 hours round the clock, we are specially invited to participate.

• Make your life a prayerful life. God wants us to join in the cooperative prayer. He answered the prayers of those in the house of God. Because Christ is the head of the church of God.

DISCIPLINE IN PRAYER

• There should be discipline in the house of God.

In Ezekiel 43:2 When we pray, it is more disciplined if we kneel and faced eastward because the glory of God proceeds from the east.
This is not a doctrine, it is a discipline.

• There should be no break in our prayer life.

WHAT GOOD DOES PRAYER HAVE FOR US?

Prayer is very important in our life.

• In 2 Chronicles 7:14, sins are forgiven when we pray.

• Whenever we are in need and we call upon God, He will answer us.

• In our difficult and challenging times, God's help is very important.

• In Lamentation 3:33,39, God does not afflict anyone. He loves man so much that is why He sent Jesus for man. Because of His love for us, He made His Son suffer.

• If you have adent need, add fasting to your prayer. There is a God who will listen to us. There is a God who understands all things. God is the solution to all of our challenges, and problems and He delivers us from all troubles.

• Always ask with faith and without a doubt.

DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING, BUT TRUST GOD WITH YOUR LIFE FOR EVERYTHING.

MY EXPECTATIONS THAT WERE IMPROVED BY LISTENING TO THE TEACHINGS

• For me to live in peace with everyone I have learned to forgive and pray for anyone who sins against me. Because that is what God wants and it is what the Bible taught us to do.

HOW THE TEACHINGS HAS POSITIVELY IMPACTED ME

• Instead of me gossiping about anyone that sin, it is my responsibility to pray for such fellow.

• In my prayer life, I have learned to always trust God for everything with the whole of me.
