Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Valley/ Basílica Menor de Nuestra Señora del Valle (ENG-ESP)

Hello dear friends of this beautiful community, I hope you are all very well and that your week has been full of many beautiful things, this time I want to share with you about a beautiful visit I made to the minor basilica of Our Lady of the Valley located in the municipality of Garcia, in the valley of the Holy Spirit, in our beautiful Margarita Island.

This minor basilica has the name of our patron saint, our beautiful virgin of the Valley, known as vallita for some people.

This basilica was built in 1894 thanks to the president of miranda, because at that time belonged to the island of margarita, prior to this basilica there was one built, but it had to be demolished to make the construction of a larger capacity and better finishes.

Hola queridos amigos de esta hermosa comunidad, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien y que su semana haya estado llena de muchas cosas bonitas, en esta oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes sobre una hermosa visita que realice a basílica menor nuestra señora del Valle ubicada en el municipio García, en el valle del espíritu santo, en nuestra hermosa Isla de margarita.

Esta basílica menor cuenta con el nombre de nuestra patrona, nuestra hermosa virgen del Valle, conocida como vallita para algunas personas.

Esta basílica fue construida en el año 1894 gracias al presidente de miranda, debido a que en ese momento le pertenecía la isla de margarita, anterior a esta basílica había una construida, pero se tuvo que demoler para hacer la construcción de una de mayor capacidad y mejores acabados.

This church has a neo-Gothic style and along with it its ancient stained glass windows which have been maintained for years due to the maintenance that is done every year, in this opportunity I counted on that recently was made the respective maintenance and care to not let it deteriorate, this beautiful basilica has a beautiful generator concept that is cross-shaped, which has 5 entrances to this sanctuary, 3 in its central nave and one in each aisle.

Its beautiful architecture makes this basilica, even though it is small, it makes its visitors feel comfortable when visiting it because it has cross ventilation, which makes it a very fresh environment for its visitors; in its main altar it has the main and most important visual which is Our Lady of the Valley.

Esta iglesia tiene un estilo neogótico y junto a ello sus antiguos vitrales los cuales se han mantenido por años debido al mantenimiento que se le hace cada año, en esta oportunidad conté con que hace poco se le realizó el respectivo mantenimiento y cuidado para no dejar que se deteriore, esta hermosa basílica cuenta con un hermoso concepto generador que trata de forma de cruz, la cual cuenta con 5 entradas para este santuario, 3 en su nave central y una en cada nave lateral.

Su hermosa arquitectura hace de esta basílica, a pesar de que es pequeña, hace que sus visitantes se sientan cómodos al visitarla porque cuenta con ventilación cruzada, la cual la hace un ambiente muy fresco para sus visitantes; en su altar mayor cuéntanos con la visual principal y más importante que es nuestra señora del Valle.

In its surroundings there are small gardens where you can see the flag of our country, the flag of Nueva Esparta and the Vatican. Esta basílica tiene algo muy particular en su momento a las dos campanas de la entrada principal le colocaron nombre una tiene como nombre "virgen del Valle" y la otra "corazón de Jesús", sus mosaicos son únicos, al igual que su cielo raso que tenía unas pinturas realizadas por el pintor Ramón Gómez.

En sus a los rededores cuenta con pequeños jardines en los cuales se puede observar la bandera de nuestro país, la de Nueva Esparta y la del vaticano. Y junto a ella una hermosa plaza la cual cuenta con una obra de arte con la imagen de nuestra señora del Valle, la cual podemos tener el privilegio de sentarnos a tomar fotos familiares.

Where the winner who were several students having as a tutor to a renowned architect the winning project had as a generator concept our virgin of the Valley, but unfortunately this project began, but has not been completed, they have only left a field for the masses to be held on the birthday of our beautiful virgin of the Valley.

Y en sus laterales cuenta con gran variedad de artesanos con sus puestos para que los visitantes tengan la oportunidad de llevarse un hermoso recuerdo de su visita a la basílica del Valle y también cuenta con personas vendiendo flores para llevarle a nuestra señora del valle, esta basílica cuenta con una reubicación en el campo eucarístico, donde hace algunos años se realizó un concurso de arquitectura donde los concursantes tuvieron el privilegio de diseñar para nuestra virgen del Valle.

Donde el ganador que fueron varios estudiantes teniendo como tutora a un reconocido arquitecto el proyecto ganador tenía como concepto generador nuestra virgen del Valle, pero lastimosamente este proyecto se comenzó, pero no se ha culminado, solo han dejado un campo para las misas a realizar el día del cumpleaños de nuestra hermosa virgen del Valle.

To visit this beautiful basilica is to be filled with peace because its people and the atmosphere it gives is that, a unique peace, also has a small box on one side of the church where believers also bring flowers and even side has a very nice place where you can light a candle and ask for your loved ones, This small chapel with candles is located outside the church to prevent any accident with the fire that may cause in the basilica and that is why they decided to place this place for the believers to place their lit candle and ask for their loved ones.

Ir de visita a esta hermosa basílica es llenarse de paz porque su gente y el ambiente que da es ese, una paz única, también cuenta con una pequeña casilla en un lateral de la iglesia en donde los creyentes le llevan flores también y aun lado cuenta con un lugar muy bonito donde puedes prender una vela y pedir por tus seres queridos, esta pequeña capilla con velas las realiza afuera de la iglesia para prevenir algún accidente con el fuego que pueda causar en la basílica y por eso toman la decisión de colocar este lugar para que los creyentes coloquen su vela encendida y pidan por sus seres queridos.

Espero que pronto vengan a visitarnos y hagan parada obligatoria en nuestra hermosa basílica menor, nuestra señora del Valle, para que comprueben ustedes mismos lo hermosa que está y el cariño de su gente es único.

En esta iglesia también cuenta con unos pequeños delantales los cuales pueden usar los que vengan con escote y puedan pasar a visitar a nuestra señora del Valle.

En este lugar pueden traer a sus niños y compartir con ellos este hermoso momento que es visitar a nuestra señora del valle y disfrutar de la paz que hay en este lugar. Hoy en día cuenta con un horario flexible tanto para los residentes como para los turistas, y esperando con ansias el cumpleaños de nuestra señora del Valle, que es el 8 de septiembre, donde todos los creyentes se reúnen para cantarle cumpleaños en familia.
